Hey all,

Need some help dialing in the Barista Touch. Some quick settings I've been trying:

Grind size 8, 35-second shot pulls 35g of coffee, 18g of grounds. Coffee is bitter.

Grind size 8, 36-second shot pulls 36g of coffee, 18g of grounds. Coffee is sour.

Grind size 7, 40-second shot pulls 28g of coffee, 18g of grounds. Coffee is unbelievably sour.

I'm pretty new to coffee but have been grabbing beans from a local roaster and having trouble dialing in the perfect shot. Anyone have any advice on what I should try next?

Just finished A Parade of Horribles by Matt D. Got a lot of life stress currently (Moving interstate for a new role, car is getting repaired after an accident, trying to sell my current home) so after something light to keep me entertained.

I typically read sci fi & fantasy and typically enjoy faster paced books than slower.

Any recommendations welcome!

Hi all,

Just looking for a solution here, I'm constantly having to adjust the internal mechanism of the Big Idea Slim Bolt Action for my refill as the nib slowly retracts from the set height over time.

Over the course of a day it drops approx. 1mm, without adjusting I'd imagine the nib would end up within the barrel.

Is there any easy solution? Is this a known problem? Should I reach out for a replacement?
