I had some pieces 3D printed for a cosplay staff. The bottom piece has a flat surface, so I can easily attach that with a dowel screw. But the top piece has a weird square hole, almost like a pyramid shape. How am I supposed to attach this top part to the dowel?

The wig I purchased for my Ubel cosplay had the hair in front going all the way down to below my chin. I’ve cut the bangs to the proper height for my face in the middle section, but I can’t get the outer side pieces to look like this. How exactly would I go about shaping the sides to achieve this look? Is it just a matter of holding them in place with a brush and using some hairspray?
