Reality check: What’s a fair price for a 2025–2026 CPO M240i xDrive?

I’m on the East Coast and currently shopping for a 2025+ CPO BMW M240i xDrive.

A local dealer recently quoted me close to the car’s original ~$58K MSRP for a 2025 CPO example with around 12K miles.

Am I crazy, or is that pricing nuts?

My ideal spec:
2025 or newer M240i xDrive
BMW CPO
M Performance/Professional package
Adaptive M Suspension
Shadowline
Black, gray, or blue exterior
Cognac or black interior

I really like the M240i and specifically want the B58, but I’m having a hard time justifying paying near-new MSRP for a car that’s already 1–2 model years old with 10K+ miles.
Especially with financing around 7%+ APR, I don’t want to buy into inflated dealer pricing just because these cars are desirable.

For those who have bought or shopped for a 2025–2026 CPO M240i xDrive recently, what are you actually seeing them sell for?

Would $48K–$52K be a realistic target depending on mileage/options, or am I expecting too much depreciation?

And with gas prices/economic uncertainty/geopolitical craziness, would you expect the market for these to soften over the next few months?

Basically: what price would make you say “buy it” versus “walk away and wait”?
