Ally unveils "Life Today," putting customers at the center of where life and money collide

Title is taken straight from the press release, not editorialized.

Ally appears to have unveiled a slight brand refresh in order to appeal to Gen Z and Millennials. The shade of dark purple/indigo in the logo (hex code #50104A) has changed to a vivid violet (#852EF2).

Expect updates to the look and feel of the app and website, as well as advertising. Below is the only article I could find on the refresh that wasn't just a regurgitation of the press release.

P.S. As mods, we'll be tinkering with the look and feel of the subreddit over the next few days/weeks to match this new brand refresh. The sub's icon and key color (the color of the Join button and links) have already been updated.

Edit: It should be obvious based on how this post is written, but in case it isn't, none of the moderators of this subreddit are affiliated with Ally Financial in any way.

App analytics not showing for the last few days?

One of my apps is nearing the 250 installs threshold, but it’s been showing 0 installs since May 11th. Is this a known bug that’s being worked on?

Duplicate crossposts in the same subreddit

Have any other mods noticed this phenomenon? A user will make a post, then a minute later “crosspost” it to the same subreddit, effectively duplicating it and forcing mods to remove it. I’ve seen this happen across the site, including on subs I mod.

I think the “Crosspost to more communities” dialog might need work. If it’s offering to crosspost to the same subreddit the post is in, then that’s clearly a bug and needs to be fixed. It’s creating more work for us mods.

Edit: Anyone else experiencing this might want to add the following automod code.

type: crosspost submission
crosspost_subreddit:
    name: 'PutYourSubredditNameHere'
action: filter
action_reason: 'Same-sub crosspost detected'

Any wagon owners are welcome to answer but especially if you’re in the US where wagons are rare, this question is for you.

You’re looking for parking. You see an open space next to another Volvo, but it’s a sedan or SUV. Across from it, you see another parking spot next to a non-Volvo wagon. Which one do you park next to and why? 👀
