Keep it going bears. Get another goal or two in the second-half. Also McInnes need to bring Fernandez off before he gets sent off.

Happy 64th Birthday To Mark Warburton 🥳🥳🥳

Happy 64th Birthday To Mark Warburton 🥳🥳🥳

Mark Warburton became Rangers manager in June 2015, succeeding Stuart McCall. Alongside assistant David Weir, he introduced an attractive, possession-based style and immediately led Rangers to the 2015–16 Scottish Championship title, securing promotion back to the Premiership.

His first season also brought the Scottish Challenge Cup, while Rangers famously defeated Celtic on penalties in the 2016 Scottish Cup semi-final. They narrowly missed another trophy when Hibernian beat them 3–2 in the Scottish Cup Final.

Warburton struggled to maintain the same momentum in the Premiership, with Rangers unable to seriously challenge Celtic. His tenure ended amid controversy in February 2017, but he remains remembered primarily for guiding Rangers back to Scotland's top flight and restoring an attacking style of football.

Happy 56th Birthday To Stéphane Guivarc'h 🥳🥳🥳

Happy 56th Birthday To Stéphane Guivarc'h 🥳🥳🥳

Stéphane Guivarc'h was a French striker who joined Rangers from Newcastle United in November 1998, just months after winning the 1998 World Cup with France. He scored twice on his Rangers debut in a 7–0 victory over St Johnstone.

Guivarc'h also scored in Rangers' 2–1 League Cup Final victory over St Johnstone and was part of Dick Advocaat's treble-winning squad in 1998–99.

His spell at Ibrox was brief, however, and he returned to Auxerre in the summer of 1999, having spent only seven months with Rangers.

On This Day In 1935: The legendary Jock Wallace was born.

On This Day In 1935: The legendary Jock Wallace was born.

Jock Wallace (6 September 1935 – 24 July 1996) was one of the most successful and respected managers in Rangers history. A former goalkeeper, he famously helped Berwick Rangers defeat Rangers in the Scottish Cup in 1967 before joining the Ibrox coaching staff in 1970. He succeeded Willie Waddell as Rangers manager in 1972.

Wallace led Rangers through a hugely successful period during the 1970s. In 1974–75, he guided the club to its first league championship in 11 years, ending Celtic’s record run of nine consecutive titles. Rangers then won two domestic trebles under Wallace, in 1975–76 and 1977–78. He became famous for his tough management style and gruelling training sessions on the sand dunes at Gullane.

Wallace surprisingly left Rangers in 1978 and later managed Leicester City, Motherwell and Sevilla. He returned to Ibrox for a second spell between 1983 and 1986, winning two League Cups. Known affectionately as “Big Jock,” Wallace died in 1996 aged 60 and is remembered as one of the defining figures of Rangers’ history.

On This Day In 1897: The legendary Sandy Archibald was born.

On This Day In 1897: The legendary Sandy Archibald was born.

Sandy Archibald was a legendary Scottish footballer who became one of the most important players in the early history of Rangers. The skilful outside-right joined Rangers from Raith Rovers in 1917 and went on to spend an extraordinary 17 years at Ibrox. He became a key figure in Bill Struth’s dominant Rangers sides of the 1920s and early 1930s.

Archibald made more than 500 competitive appearances for Rangers and was renowned for his pace, crossing ability and goals from the wing. During his time at Ibrox, Rangers won numerous major honours, including 13 Scottish League championships and three Scottish Cups. One of his most famous achievements came in the 1928 Scottish Cup Final, when he scored twice as Rangers defeated Celtic 4–0 to win the trophy for the first time since 1903.

Archibald left Rangers in 1934 after establishing himself as one of the club’s great pre-war players. He also represented Scotland eight times during his career. He died in 1946 at only 49 years of age, but his remarkable longevity, huge number of appearances and contribution to one of the most successful periods in Rangers' history ensured his place among the club's early legends.
