JURASSIC HOT TAKES

Jurassic Park (1993) is a Perfect Movie [10/10] - I know this isn’t exactly a hot take, but it’s where it all began. I mean, I’ve rewatched it like a thousand times and still feel like it’s the first time, the opening scene, the brachiosaurus reveal, Rexy escaping the paddock, the group escaping the raptors in the visitor center, there’s NOTHING bad about this film. And even though the dinos only appear for 16 minutes, that shows that Quality > Quantity, if you use them perfectly, there’s no need to show them extra. (And also, giving each dino their own scene, not 4 in one; let them breathe)

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) is a great movie [9.8/10] - Spielberg knew what he was doing when doing the sequel. He wasn’t trying to replicate the first movie, he wanted something else, something dark, something… more wild. The animal behavior is incredibly realistic for a Jurassic movie, herbivores being shown aggressive, a very angry mommy and daddy, the long grass, the tense atmosphere feels amazing. Imma be clear, I know their flaws like Kelly defeating a raptor with gymnastics or the crew mysteriously dying without trace, but overall, it’s still my favorite, not the best, but my Fav 1.

Jurassic Park /// (2001) is an Overhated movie [8/10] - I know Amanda Kirby is annoying… but if you were a father looking for your son, surely you’d act like her. Also, the Spino killing the T-rex was awesome, HEAR ME OUT: The rex had been the Dino-Star of the 2 previous films, another apex predator had to take its place. Alan Grant carries the movie, the raptors have the best designs on the franchise, the passing is quick but entertaining and has it’s great moments.

Jurassic World (2015) is a good movie [8.7] - Yeah, this movie’s kind of over praised… and it deserves it, it brought us back the interest into dinosaurs after 14 years of absence. The Indominus Rex is the best villain ever made in the franchise, it’s menacing, it’s a highly intelligent animal… though I’d have liked if they didn’t showed her too much. Still, entertaining nonetheless.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) is an Underrated movie [7.5/10] - I know the shift from “Rescuing dinosaurs from a volcanic island > Hybrid Horror in a manor” is polemic, but I liked they tried to do a horror movie. I know dinosaurs can be scary on their own, but the Indoraptor is no dinosaur. Sure, this films has it’s nonsenses like Owen Grady becoming a superhero, ACTUAL dinosaurs acting more like monsters (not the Indoraptor, that one has it’s reasons), or the Blue blood transfusion… but overall, entertaining.

Jurassic World: Dominion {Theatrical} is a Shit movie [5/10] - This one’s obvious, BUT…

Jurassic World: Dominion {Extended} is an OK Movie [7/10] - The extended version added lore that was NECESSARY to leave and not cut from the original, like 65 MYA prologue, the Hexapod Allies origin [Originally to solve an agricultural problem > Turned into a market-manipulation weapon], and of course, extra seconds of the OG trio because… it’s them, we came for them. Still, the biggest sin is that they had MULTIPLE dinosaurs and species yet they had almost no idea what to do with them… but if we view the film like a “2 hour and 40 minute pilot of a TV show of dinosaurs living on earth and cities”, then it can partially work. It doesn’t excuse their problems but at least it made the movie more enjoyable.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is a fantastic movie [9.3/10] - “Remember that happy ending of coexistence of Dominion? Yeah, all dinosaurs in mainland [except on the equator] are fucking dead”, I know it’s not what we expected… but certainly, I sort of disliked that ending, because, even though we will deny it, dinosaurs would’ve perished sooner or later, and Rebirth shows the “realistic” path… well, aside from the equator explanation, but still, the “Dinosaurs in our world” theme is more suitable for a TV show (look Chaos Theory), and this movie instead of tangling around in a thousand plots, it has a simple plot “Collect dino DNA without dying”. As simple as that, and also this movie brings back the original trilogy feeling of being trapped on an island and admiring the dinosaurs as what they truly are… giant animals. Yeah, the D. Rex was VERY underused… but wasn’t Rexy also appearing for just 4 minutes in the first film? Stop whining about it, it’s still alive.

Video idea for Terra Mystica Video Idea: : What if a Hatzegopteryx gets into Gym Powder?

A fitness influencer is filming a vlog in his backyard, leaving an open tub of high-stimulant, high-caffeine "Nuclear Berry" pre-workout powder on a patio table. Overhead, a giraffe-sized Hatzegopteryx swoops down, tilts its massive skull, and swallows the entire tub of powder dry. The intense stimulant tingles hit the 500-pound giant, and its muscles start twitching violently. It begins flapping its massive 10-meter wings so rapidly that it creates a localized mini-tornado, blowing away patio furniture and flipping the barbecue grill.Instead of taking flight, it drops onto all fours and goes into a jittery, ground-pounding frenzy. It gallops down the suburban street like a crazed, demonic gorilla, crushing mailboxes under its weight. It begins violently jackhammering the asphalt with its spear-like beak, digging massive potholes in seconds. Letting out an ear-splitting shriek, it violently launches itself into the upper atmosphere, breaking the sound barrier with a massive sonic BOOM. High in the clouds, the energy pump completely wears off. The giant reptile’s wings go totally limp, and it plummets back to Earth like a meteor, crashing directly into a neighbor's above-ground swimming pool with a massive tidal wave splash. Video idea for Terra Mystica Video Idea: What if a Pachycephalosaurus drinks a Cup of Coffee?

A teenager leaves a giant, extra-strength mug of steaming black coffee on the kitchen counter and walks away. His pet juvenile Pachycephalosaurus trothes over, sniffs the mug, and chugs the entire thing. For five seconds, nothing happens. Suddenly, the intense caffeine rush hits its nervous system—its eyes dilate into tiny dots, and its rear feet start rapidly tapping the linoleum floor like a high-speed jackhammer, making the kitchen cabinets rattle.Dropping its head into a low battering stance, the dinosaur unleashes pure kinetic force. It charges, using its 9-inch-thick solid bone dome to punch a perfectly clean, circular hole straight through the thick wood of the kitchen island. The teenager screams and dives onto the counter as the caffeine-crazed dinosaur ricochets off the walls, shattering the drywall like paper. It bursts through the screen door into the driveway and headbutts the front bumper of a parked pickup truck. The raw energy transfer instantly deploys the vehicle's airbags with a loud POP and sets off the car alarm, right before the dinosaur suffers a massive caffeine crash and collapses into a deep sleep on the lawn. Is the tech in the Jurassic Park/World universe advanced enough to create bioengineered giant monster toys straight out of Poppy Playtime?

If you have seen The End of oak Street, I genuinely want to hear people's commentary and thoughts.

I recently watched it and thought it was slightly confusing, but pretty good.

(I don't really think it could be a new Jurassic park/world franchise, but I want to see other peoples perspectives.)

Jurassic Evolution 3

Hi guys.

So a quick question.

I’m new to the game, and I am wondering if your staff can get to dinosaurs in their enclosure when you are making habitats with natural barriers. Like can I place a gate for the enclosure even if I’m not making a enclosure from the standard electrical fence ?

Does it make sense ?

You had one job, Colin.

End of Oak Street may not be fully up there as the best dinosaur movie ever but it is exactly what we all expected from Jurassic World Dominion.

So, I'm making a scratch game...

Link to project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1369208782/

Right. So, for a while. I made a new scratch account because my last one got banned. I've made a few Jurassic franchise dinosaur stick node vectors. But I wanted to make an actual game for them!

So for 3 days, I've been developing a scratch game called "Jurassic World: Sanctuary" where it takes place on Lockwood's sanctuary island for the dinosaurs.

"Welcome to Jurassic World Sanctuary. A sandbox game where instead of creating a park, you own an island and instead... your goal is to capture, and relocate all the dinosaurs globally, and place them onto your island. Isolating them from the rest of the world, preventing death. Along the way, you will need to create more land, balance the eco-system, and prevent humans from poaching the dinosaurs from your island. How long can you handle it with a budget of $70 billion dollars?"

You guys should watch the end of oak street in theaters

So I heard the movies is amazing and pretty good but apparently not enough people have watched it in theaters or even know about this movie we need to tell more people like family friends or even neighbours or classmates I know sometimes it's awkward to talk to other people like classmates you don't know family is one thing easy to talk to but classmates is another thing but don't worry about it if you do this one sacrifice can help this movie grow and get enough money. Also guys forget about this random AI adds that sponsor the movie it is nothing like 65 the worst dino movie possible it's actually so good people that watched it prefer it then Jurassic world dominion which I would still say dominion even though I haven't watched it cause it's like home to me. But anyway pls watch this movie if you can afford it don't wait on it to stream cause this makes there a less chance of a sequel if it flops come on we still have time it's only been 2 days since it's release.

Amber and Hammond comparisons!

I know some people wanted to see how they compare, well I finally decided to unbox my Amber collections. Let me know if you want to see specific poses or figures together! (I definitely rushed these pics)

I believe I have all Hammond (so far), Amber, and Snap Squad figures.

I don’t have buck yet! He’s on his way. I also keep my SDCC in the box so I can’t quite pose those.

I made this custom-made Brachiosaurus with molding techniques. Here it is standing next to my John Hammond action figure. Hope you liked this! 😁
