i always think about all the dinosaurs i'd like to see instead of more genetic failures like the ones in rebirth. i'd love to see maip, megaraptor, concavenator, irritator, majungasaurus, yutyrannus, achillobator, etc. i daydream about scenarios involving them often lol

understand that the Kirbys had good intentions. They were desperate parents trying to rescue their son, and I doubt a jury would be completely unsympathetic to that.

They knowingly entered a restricted area, ignored warnings from air traffic control, and deceived Dr. Grant and Billy into joining an expedition without telling them the real purpose. Grant was even knocked unconscious when he objected.

Then there's the fact that three people died during the expedition: Cooper, Nash, and Udesky. Would the Kirbys face criminal charges for their deaths, potentially even manslaughter? Obviously, they didn't personally kill anyone, but could their negligence and decision to organize the expedition make them legally responsible?

I also imagine the families of the deceased could sue the Kirbys for wrongful death. Although, I wonder how much that would depend on the contracts the men signed and whether they knowingly accepted the risks involved.

And here's another question: Is it even legal to hire mercenaries for something like this? Technically, Udesky was more of a booking agent who arranged the personnel, but the Kirbys were the ones financing the expedition. Would that create additional legal problems for them, or is hiring private security contractors perfectly legal as long as the mission itself is lawful?

Finally, there's Dr. Grant and Billy. They were deceived into going to the island and put in serious danger. Could they sue the Kirbys as well? I doubt Grant would but Billy might.

I'm curious how much trouble the Kirbys would realistically be in once they returned to the mainland. Would the authorities sympathize with two parents who were trying to save their son, or would they face serious criminal charges and potentially lose everything in civil lawsuits?

We have all been requesting this for a while and frontier usually responds by saying that giving combat animations to lumbering giants is a mechanical hurdle but I recon there is a workaround to this. They could add ‘invisible’ animations, think similar to how tranquilizer Dino’s immediately take damage as soon as a carnivore lays a finger on the, with no animation from either of the dinosaurs. They could do something similar where carnivores take explicit damage when attacking sauropods albeit without animations. Yes, that would look weird but the alternative is having them remain defenseless sacks of meat. Also, for those of you who have an eagle eye, you will realize that sauropods DO in fact have official attack and defense stats in the game (even if they can’t utilize those stats)meaning the foundation is halfway their. I know they have lots of dlc’s planned but they could add this in a free update alongside a dlc, like they did when they allowed tours to go through aviaries.
