what dinosaurs would you like to see in a jw movie?

i always think about all the dinosaurs i'd like to see instead of more genetic failures like the ones in rebirth. i'd love to see maip, megaraptor, concavenator, irritator, majungasaurus, yutyrannus, achillobator, etc. i daydream about scenarios involving them often lol

let me know what you guys think and if you have any specific scenario do share😄

affecting my life quality

i didn't know there was a sub for this, im glad. i haven't been diagnosed and i don't think i will tbh, not sure any doctor knows about this in my city or even in my country.

i don't particularily care about a diagnose though, i know i have visual snow. i've had it for as long as i can remember i think, and im just so tired of it. it's just been getting worse, sometimes im worried somethings happening to my brain or whatever, i get paranoid and due to being nervous i also get dizzy, heart palpitations, worse visual snow, etc.

it makes it so hard to stay in touch with reality if that makes sense? i feel like im not living in the moment bur rather trying to squint my eyes to see a blurry image. it's been messing with my mental health. i feel stupid and i'd like to experience life like others do. i can't even focus too much on someone while having a conversation or i'll just stop seeing the background and part of their face completely.

i think the worst part is that no one understands when i talk about it. wish it was a little more known and that there was at least treatment for it. anyway, im glad this sub exists and i could get that off my chest. wish you all good luck

can't seem to draw humans. advice?

i'd LOVE to start drawing humans. i have for years but just the bare minium to do a self insert or oc when i want to, and only in my phone.

i want to learn more human anatomy but it's like my brain doesn't want to😪 for context i draw only creatures. mostly dragons, made up beings and dinosaurs but sometimes animals too, sea beings, birds, horses, i want to learn more about big cats, etc.

i guess i really enjoy dragons, dinosaurs and creatures because i can stylize them however i want. sometimes i want a more cartoony style, maybe more creepy one with thin lines, or a bold one with thick lineart, more or less shadows, etc. i draw a lot in school and it's a place where i feel a lot of stuff so i put it in my drawings. it's easy for me to get the vibe im going for and get creative.

i know you can do that with humans too, and im sure a lot of what i want to convey can be executed with them, but i don't know how i think ? human anatomy seems a little structured for what i like to do, i love the freedom and at the same time technicality (because i like to pay attention to how the creatures i draw work) when i draw, i don't feel that with humans but i'd like to, any advice?

is it just me or do people forget atla is about war?

i often see people talking about atla as if the war is some secondary thing happening and not a big part of the plot. they'll start talking about certain character traits that are directly related to the war but completely miss it the fact they are?

few examples i can give are jet, there's so much debate on whetever he's good or bad. i feel like trying to fit everything into black and white is missing the point of the show completely. jet is still a kid who got everything taken from him because of the fire nation, of course he fails to see not every firebender is evil. wich doesn't mean he's evil himself. i always loved his character because he represents extremism amazingly.

another example could be katara. people always have opinions on calling her the mother of the group, whetever they agree or not. i don't think it's bad that people have different opinions on this, but they sort of fail to see why katara is motherly, even if it's explained pretty well on the show ? she's a kid who lost her mother at a very young age. she's pushed onto that role, even in the episode where toph starts scamming people we see her trying to be fun too, because she's literally 14 and wants to be childish too.

the whole ba sing se stuff too. maybe people don't talk about this because it's obvious, but i always loved how ba sing se portrays the denying of events happening in the world (in this case, the war) i always just see people joking about that "there is no war in ba sing se" joke. i never see any other topics about it wich always surprised me because i really liked that whole plotline.

i love atla because it has AMAZING representation on a lot of topics. the way it represents war is mind blowing for me. i feel like i've never seen another show or movie do it like that, much less a kid's show. it's just really competent and brave. it also covers so many stuff, i know i keep repeating it but i value the show so much because of it.

anyway, i just wish everyone saw all this more. it really annoys me how everything has to be good or bad for the audience... they gave us awesome characters and scenarios to analyze that are very accurate and real and sometimes i feel they go to waste with how people treat the show.

sorry for any typos and stuff, lmk what you think about this and if maybe it's just a matter of me being in a weird side of the fandom or you guys see it too🤔🤔

someone in the comments made me realize i should've clarified i wasn't talking about this sub, just other platforms like tiktok, twitter, instagram, etc

zuko's character (rant)

i just posted a rant about aang and i need to post one of zuko too, i love atla's characters so much they're all so well done lol😭♡

i think the thing i love the most about zuko's character is how much he struggles with everything. something is always going wrong for him. he's literally born without the firebending spark and his father already wants him gone. then he gets a younger sister and she's a prodigy. he's overshadowed even being the firstborn of the royal family. his mother, the only person who takes care of him is gone, and even with the suffering this all brings him, he still takes interest in his nation, wanting to learn more to one day be firelorld. zuko is thirteen and he already has enough reasons to want to throw it all away, but he doesn't.

then he gets banished, he's away from his home and lives in shame. still, even after all the time he's been gone for, he keeps looking for someone no one has ever seen in a hundred years. he's still determined, he doesn't give up, and he even finds the avatar. of course, everything keeps going wrong.

he starts having trouble with how he sees the world and how the world sees him. he starts struggling to understand what is wrong and what is right. he returns to the palace, because he worked really hard for it, and he still keeps struggling.

even in this moment, he keeps trying. zuko visits his uncle and doesn't stop trying to find out stuff.

after this, when he finally rejects his father, his sister, his family and his nation, he wants to join the avatar's group and they won't let him!! literally nothing goes right for him EVER. he even keeps fucking up at times, but he keeps trying, and he makes it.

everything is so hard for zuko. nothing comes easy for him. but he doesn't try to find a better way for anything, he just pushes through until he gets what he's looking for. even if everything is hard, he still does it. he stays true to his beliefs, and instead of being quiet everytime they change, he acts on them. the only one who has hope for him is his uncle, who doesn't even tell him straight up. but the people who don't, make themselves known all the time. his father, azula, zhao, the gaang. literally no one believes in him for anything.

his character is so inspiring. of course it's good to have people to help you, but it's also great to see representation of people who don't have that, and how it doesn't mean that you're lost and have no hope. zuko learnt everything by himself and worked hard to be where he ends up being. i wish we got to see more characters portrayed like this, the ones that are "obviously" failures but end up thriving because they just work hard instead of being naturally gifted.

kinda crazy that he wasn't born with a spark. i think he has more drive than any other character. i love zuko:)♡

aang is the best main character ever (rant)

i love aang's character so much. i always have problems with main characters, they just never reach me ? and most of them feel hollow. i think aang has made me realize why.

every main character is made to be only slightly unconvenient. they mostly all have the same problem, wich is being the chosen one in whatever situation and not knowing how to proceed. but other than that, they're mostly average looking, even considered attractive by other characters, not wanting to do any harm just because it's wrong, struggling but with everyone always helping, etc.

on the other hand, aang is different. he's a bald 12 year old who woke up one day in a war that has been going on for 100 years. he's the only thing left of his people, his whole culture and community was wiped out. he doesn't have anything he knows, but he's still open to everything. not because he forces himself, but just because that's who he is, even when he struggles and feels misunderstood, the way he was raised is always known and present in his actions.

the fact that he didn't want to kill ozai was done perfectly for me. i always get a little irritated when main characters start talking about how "oh, if i do this im just as bad as (antagonist)", im glad they didn't go that way with aang. he has such valid reasons to not want to, the fact that they went with the loss of culture and how he tries to value it and keep practicing it makes me emotional. it's so well done. even after everyone telling him he has to do it (wich i also love, because he has to figure it out on his own, since, unfortunately, only he would understand) he still keeps close to his spirituality and finds another way, staying true to himself.

idk, aang's character just has an amazing way with how he solves stuff and acts. i never thought i could like a main character, much less like him so much. they truly did an amazing job with him and every other character, such good representation. just wanted to talk about it somewhere:))♡
