Am I the only one who finds the appeal and rating of marine reptiles too low and social needs too rigid?%

There is a lot of speculation on a future lagoon expansion similar to what we got for the aviaries in the Rebirth dlc. There are some really interesting ideas but there is a free update they can (and should) add alongside it. Marine Dino’s, especially large ones don’t provide enough appeal for the space they demand and have too rigid social needs making them obsolete. The mosasaurus requires 3 or 4 domes to be comfortable and it only provides 200 ish more appeal than trex and spino and actually has LESS appeal than indominus Rex and indoraptor. It’s social needs are even worse as it only allows 1 member of each gender making breeding almost impossible as the second a baby is made, your lagoon becomes a ticking time bomb, hell, even the meg allows multiple adult females so why do the mosasaurus dirty?! I get that larger Dino’s should be harder to manage but here’s the thing: This would have been more than ok in the first 2 games but doesn’t work here as breeding is a prominent part of the game. I mean, they did make all the land carnivores and quetzalquatlas more social in this game so that it’s actually possible to make them breed so why not do the same with the mosasaurus??

Is the 150% area need growth for the Carcharodontosaurus biography a glitch or what??

I am surprised more people haven’t talked about this but I can’t be the only one who’s noticed that the charcharodontosaurus is listed to have an area need growth double that of the Indominus Rex (150%)! I am contemplating whether the design problem of the charcharodontosaurus got replaced by it being unplayable. But in practice, it seems like a glitch. I was able to fit 3 adults and 2 juveniles in a single enclosure which was big but not HUGE, and it was still 6x the minimus space they required even though it’s listed area need growth implies each new individual would triple the minimum territory size required . Either the baseline special needs of this Dino are completely non existent, or they meant 50%, which is what it is in practice and accidentally added a 1 in front.

How sauropod combat could realistically be implemented, bypassing mechanical constraints.

We have all been requesting this for a while and frontier usually responds by saying that giving combat animations to lumbering giants is a mechanical hurdle but I recon there is a workaround to this. They could add ‘invisible’ animations, think similar to how tranquilizer Dino’s immediately take damage as soon as a carnivore lays a finger on the, with no animation from either of the dinosaurs. They could do something similar where carnivores take explicit damage when attacking sauropods albeit without animations. Yes, that would look weird but the alternative is having them remain defenseless sacks of meat. Also, for those of you who have an eagle eye, you will realize that sauropods DO in fact have official attack and defense stats in the game (even if they can’t utilize those stats)meaning the foundation is halfway their. I know they have lots of dlc’s planned but they could add this in a free update alongside a dlc, like they did when they allowed tours to go through aviaries.

Dhurandhar alignment chart.

Lawful good: Jameel Jamali (Dude sacrificed 45 years of his life for his country and never got his hands dirty outside of poisoning Dawood)
Neutral good: Aalam (Stays out of conflict until he doesn’t and willingly sacrifices his life to protect the mission)
Chaotic good: Hamza (Non negotiable! He humbles every single antagonist in the duology but does do by turning them into minced meat)
Lawful neutral: Omar Haider (Blindly obeys the chain of command whether it tells him to kill a tyrant or an innocent)
True neutral: Ulfat (Wants nothing to do with her husband’s business but if you let her loved ones down, prepare to get slapped
Chaotic neutral: SP Aslam (A tyrant for the Baloch, a morally grey anti villain for everyone else)
Lawful evil: Major Iqbal (His malice is state sanctioned and he respects the chain of common but only cause he wants to control it)
Neutral evil: Rehman (Willing to throw anybody under the bus and switches between being a gangster and politician based on what benefits him)
Chaotic evil: Uzair (A loose cannon if I ever saw one! He has brawn and malice but no brains whatsoever)

(Yet another) Ranking of the Monsterverse movies

With Gxk:Supernova being closer and closer to release, I am desperate to see if it will be good, especially being disappointed by the recent entires and how the movies we do have now succeed (or fail)
1)Kong skull island (Yeah, yeah, it’s not a 3 hr long love story where Kong meets his first love but that doesn’t stop it from being a great movie with great action, worldbuilding and surprisingly good characters. And who could forget the post credits scene.
2)Godzilla 2014 (By far the best cinematography and vfx of all 5 films. I was blown away by the trailers, and unlike most, I didn’t hate the lack of screen time with Godzilla, just the cutaways and the fact that they get rid of Bryan Cranston so early! But still the best ‘Godzilla’ movie in the mv)
3)Gkotm (It can’t be called bad because of the breathtaking visuals, awesome toho kaiju and best soundtrack in the Monsterverse and it is really rewatchable but can’t be called great either due to the human characters. Not much else to say)
4)Gxk (CGI sucked, Godzilla looks like a Barbie and the tone was too goofy but it earns some points because of its visual storytelling)
5)Gvk (Probably getting backlash for this but it’s not my fault that we only got 3.5 fights in the whole film only 2 of which were between Godzilla and Kong, combined with even worse humans than kotm and gxk, and I can’t force myself to like it as much as other people do).

Pack hunters are way too op in this game.

It’s shocking how OP small carnivores are in this game when they are in groups, especially the movie stars like velociraptors and atrociraptors. They can drain the health of pretty much any dinosaur in seconds and receive no pushback outside of the minuscule fall damage when getting thrown off and tha even applies to dinosaurs that cost 5 times as much to incubate and dwarf them. I have literally had a scenario where 3 atrociraptors came hella close to killing an indominus Rex that and did so in seconds. Against sauropods, its even more jarring as the size difference between them is like a giraffe and house cat and yet, in campaign mode I had a few velociraptors killing a patogotitan with the defensive trait so fast that even a nearby MVU couldn’t step in in time. Regarding sauropods, it’s best to make it so that small carnivores can’t pack hunt them no matter what, kind of life the jwe1 mechanics. When it comes to every other dinosaur, raptors should be prone to significant damage even when pack hunting such as being gored or crushed by a trike or maybe bitten by a larger theropod like trex.

Pack hunters are way too op in this game.

Let me just get to the point and say that small carnivores are practically invincible when hunting in a pack, especially velociraptors. When fighting armoured herbivores, they literally take no damage besides the tiny fall damage after getting thrown off. Even against large carnivores, they are almost able to beat them. I mean, I once had 3 atrociraptors nearly beat an indominus rex! Against sauropods, it’s even worse! On paper, a giraffe would be able to take on multiple house cats no problem. But in practice, sauropods go down so fast that even an MVU near the enclosure can’t intervene in time which looks even more unrealistic when you compare it to the fact that medium carnivores can’t even scratch sauropods or do all that much damage to large carnivores while a group of small carnivores can maul either in seconds. Firstly, pack hunters should be unable to initiate an attack on sauropods no matter how many of them there are (think similar to jwe1 mechanics). Against every other dinosaur, they should still be able to take significant damage such as being gored by a trike’s horns or bitten by a trex.

Jwe3 needs to make sauropods less vulnerable

There is a simple but critical quality of life change that the frontier team needs to make to improve immersion in management in campaign and challenge mode. Right now, pack hunting dinosaurs can attack and kill dinosaurs many times their size in seconds, unless you are playing sandbox and change the settings. This is something that needs to be changed not only for the a sake of being realistic but also immersion cause its unfair to have a giant Dino costing almost a million dollars to incubate be taken out by much smaller and cheaper Dino’s. A quick fix to this would be making it so that pack hunters are unable to initiate an attack on sauropods no matter how many of them there are. There’s already a similar mechanic where some medium sized carnivores can’t attack sauropods so it wouldn’t even require a mechanical overhaul.
