R/news: say what you want about superheroes or vigilantes but it seems like there are the only ones making a real difference

from the article: in a interview with a cartel member from ADX Florence he stated, “20 years ago things used to be simple, the only issues we had to face were special forces or other rival gangs. But nowadays we have to watch out for guys shooting lighting-bolts or lady’s with fireballs coming out of there hands it just doesn’t seem worth it anymore.” this going without mentioning efforts from “Wakandans” and the “Master Of The Mystic Arts” crippling eastern human trafficking and illegal deforestation operations, and while criminal entities like the ten rings and ISIS are still at large, the world is slowly but surely becoming a safer place.

Question;: what do you prefer should Tony stark be buff or skinny? In my opinion feel like Tony should start out skinny but as his suit weight start to strain him he becomes more buff to compensate.

I just had a thought, a very funny and “evil” thought…..

no think about it, it’s so stupid that it might actually happen, like neatherrealm did it

Seeing the sheer chaos my roster has caused on Twitter is very fun to see but I’m starting to see some assumptions and I wanted to share my explanation, I’m posting this here too because I gotten so big it breached containment to here

reboot: my mindset for this was what if super smash bros can out today IGnoring every other game that came before, and a new director and team would make the game. The roster size was inspired by other fighting games like Mortal Kombat and street fighter, landing on a 30 slot base roster. The way I choose the characters was seeing what IP like to flaunt in its 2026/2027 era using official Nintendo publishing (museum, today, parks) as well as some ip ranking videos the list was 15 franchises
- super Mario bros
- donkey Kong
- legend of Zelda
- Metroid
- Yoshi

- Kirby
- Starfox
- Pokemon
- Pikmin
- Splatoon
- animal crossing
- Xenoblade
- Luigi’s mansion
- Wario
- fire emblem

For representation in each series
Mario got five inspired by brawl/melee picks , Donkey Kong got three because of its new found prevalence and because of its rumored movie, Ichoose to keep Charizard separate because they are the face of the series same goes for the other pokemOn reps them being all gen 1 is because of that, trainer would’ve gotten a new set of pokemon to represent the series The reason why I choose not to include more fire emblem or Xenoblade reps is because Nintendo doesn’t seem to deem them that important take look at these official examples to see my point I included king boo and Octoling for two reasons
One: both series matter to Nintendo more, with Splatoon being one of the top four franchises and Luigi’s mansion being a high seller. Two: I was going for a rivalry theme with most characters getting a antagonist to fight agaiNst. Due to the smaller roster i would’ve compensate with new game & more features (boss rush, king of the hill, trophies to collect, dozens of mini games, fleshed out story mode and a open world similar to konquest mode and world tour. Plus a new artsyle inspired by the idea thAt the idea of what if the fighters were actually invited to partake in a fighting tournament, now for the dlc picks. The way I choose dlc was I kept the clean-slate mindset ignoring everything that came before, ring-fit, min-min was chosen due to its sales and there oddball staTus Rosalina is dlc because despite her popularity she is viewed as a secondary character see the wonder dlc and the Galaxy movie, skull kid and bandana Dee were selected as the most requested picks inspired by the smash ballot and C falcon and rob were chosen as the needed retro picks for the game In the same vain as game & watch, this was also influenced by f-zero 99 and robs appearance in the Galaxy movie I may add aswell Starfox only got one rep for this very reason as well. Sylux, cai, and the gen 10 pokemon were included as cross promotion for the other series. A practice already in the smash game example include Roy, corrin and Greninja. Finally I have seen some question the renders I used, to answer that I was using renders and models I already had uploaded in my photoshop.

I find it very ingesting whenever Nintendo talks or shows there IPs fire emblem and Xenoblade are almost never there or less represented. Even Pokemon who usually do there separate thing is more included

OOC: every wonder what superheroes are known to the mcu public? Well I made this tier list to answer this question and to help others with there post if there’s any thing you question or is missing just ask.

u/Whole_Yak_2547 — 9 days ago

It wouldn’t be wrong for me to make post about at least versions of marvel rivals or marvel tokon on this sub. We already know toys, movies, and comics book based on the heroes are real in the the MCU, so these games being in universe in some way or fashion makes since to me.

like imagine instead of being called marvel its “avengers rivals” or “avengers tokon” minus the characters that haven’t appeared in the mcu yet or not public knowledge.

If a superhero team like the avengers or the justice League were to really exist how would they operate?

A: they will act like an activist party I.E. the black panthers, or the WWO, prioritizing in helping oppressed groups on a global level which usually goes against governmental bodies

B: they operate like the UN a global funded organization being able to intervene only if there are enough votes for them too.

C: they function like civil servants I.E. firefighters, police. a payed profession that can patrol globally and can intervene only if called to do so.

for the sake of argument

- a team of 6 Individuals is formed in 2012 with 3 more individuals added every year

- this hypothetical follows our real world events conflicts and all

- a major villian appears 3 times a year

I believe this could make the game stand out from the other games, with the design philosophy being that each fighter would look like they were actually invited to partake in a fighting tournament and each dressed accordingly, additionally the one of the many things I felt is lacking in smash is true cohesion and I think this could fix that.
