Eggman is no 1 because he can offer the Dva archetype in Smash where you use a powerful mech but you have to work to get it and when you don't have it you lack firepower but your nimble, and he can command badniks to make up for it

Zagreus is no 2 for the indie representation and because roguelikes have gotten a big boom since it came out and his owners are tight enough with Nintendo to make his sequel a timed exclusive, and he can have unique mechanics based on the different gods abilities and shit

Fun gang is no 3, because it offers a series with a cool twist due to Deltarune having a meta narrative that hasn't really been seen before and the fact it's indie representation yet again but it can differentiate themselves with the 3 party members being incorporated

Alucard is No 4 because despite me not being an Castlevania fan boy, I think he can offer some very unique moveset potential and he offers the "son of an antagonist but opposes them" that as far as I know hasn't been touched upon in smash in terms of character

V is No. 5 since Cyberpunk while I know began as a table top game, has became such a big game due to its redemption story and well in depth gameplay that can be utilized in Smash cleverly (Hacking opponents to debuff them or using the Sandevistan to speed themselves up on top of the many guns and weapons).

Booker Dewitt from Bioshock, because he offers unique moveset potential with his guns, sky hook, and vigors, and Bioshock is pretty legendary to not include in Smash (definitely not as a fighter realistically speaking but this is my list so realism be damned.) somehow, and either Columbia or Rapture can be such cool stages

Pokopia Ditto, due to it having moveset potential that spans across almost every Pokémon or at the very least, the good dozen and so Pokémon it can already change into in the game itself, plus the stage can be a combo of Animal Crossing and Minecraft, with the towns people in the background and breakable environment.

Octoling, because let's be real, it's such a shoe in and there's plenty of new weapons and junk since Splatoon 1 where inkling gets their kit from, (Especially with Side, Octo Expansion, Side Order and potentially Raiders)

Kamek because he also offers moveset potential with his magic and could maybe represent Yoshi since he is the main prominent villain in there outside of a younger Bowser, that and his final smash could have him summon Bowser's army or airships to represent them as an army since he can easily summon them.

Lastly, Epic Mickey because yes, I actually think this version of Mickey specifically can make for a nice moveset with his paint mechanics, doodles he can create into existence, and overall rubber nose style he still has within the game, even if it's obviously impossible because it is literally just straight up Mickey regardless if it's a special version that comes from a game or if Sora's Keyblade has the mickey symbol. The idea of Mickey of all characters having a good or evil system depending on what you use throughout the match that effects how he fights is just very appealing to me

Yeah, hot take: I'm fine with not having Waluigi tbh, but not to leave Wario alone, I put Captain Syrup, who is a recurring character in his franchise at least

Speaking of, yeah, the last 4 in Zelda's roster are pure bias of mine because I love them, and for me, Ganondorf will have a new moveset outside of looking like that lameass villain from F-Zero in cosplay

I got rid of Jigs and Mewtwo because of Kanto overrep, so I give Hoenn their flowers, couldn't think of anyone from Unova sadly

ZSS is back at Samus again, Doc is a costume for Mario, same for Luigi and Dark Samus no longer is a fucking glorified skin

And the dead horse: because of the giant roster, FE benefit of having more weapon and appearance variety while having lesser than Nintendo's big 3, and like I said before, I am a Lucina glazer, but I prefer not have her over being a Marth clone, here, Chrom is a skin for her, and half her moves get replaced with Lance, as she can use it in spite of her Pointy Demonspanker (lol), and in my eyes, Anna makes more sense as a Marth clone, and could serve as a joke character

If you’re seeing this, you’re probably a bit confused. Basically, this is a roster challenge I’ve been doing on the main sub for a few days, where we make the best possible, 128-character Nintendo roster, but now today’s post got removed, so I’m moving it to here. Luckily, we weren’t very far, so the current choices should be fine. (Also, yes, I did something like this before, but I wasn’t satisfied with the rules for that one.)

Rules:

1. Only Nintendo-owned (as of June 2022) video game characters are allowed.
2. Any characters removed from one installment are permanently removed from the franchise.
3. The post order will determine the Ultimate fighter order, so keep the canon order in mind.
4. All development time restraints do not need to be considered, but characters should still make sense to be chosen (so no jokes).
5. Only characters created before January 1999 (for now).
6. Transformation characters (Sheik, ZSS, etc.) only count as one roster slot.
7. Echo Fighters have to be specified as such in the comments.
8. No downvoting.

It's because Toby infamously has a rule where the lighteners aren't allowed to have merch of them made but Smash always gives the characters Amiibo, which would contradict his rule, what do you think? Would they be barred just because Toby doesn't want an amiibo of them since every Smash character gets one, or would he break his rule to allow them in smash and have an amiibo made?

Or would they just be the only ones without an Amiibo for some reason?

Idk why but having 89 fighters, 82 main and 7 echoes is making me itch a little, like pls just one more to match, it's a me thing but whatevz

Alph being the 8th Echo would've made a lot more sense (if we disregard Lucina and Chrom and replace them with idk, Ninten and dare I say, Tom Nook) and I got the knowledge he is the only "skin character" that should've been standalone, hence here's a moveset I played, playing Pikmin 3 myself:

-Both gain Rock Pikmin, the difference to Purple Pikmin is that they have less range and instead of knocking the opponent, it let them stun, and can break shields

-this will affect Olimar as well, but Pikmin Pluck should be Shield+B, while Neutral B becomes Whistling, Olimar's Down B becomes Rock Bombs and Alph's become the Mines/Sensor Bombs

-Olimar's Up B becomes the Jetpack, while Alph keeps the Flying Pikmin

-Olimar's up taunt changes to him taking notes, down taunt changes to him headpatting the Pikmin next to him (if he has none, he will just lament) and side taunt changes analyzing his surroundings, Alph keeps the up taunt in game, side taunt changes to him nodding to the opponent, and he gains the same down taunt as Olimar, except he becomes desperate when he has no Pikmin

-Alph's Forward Tilt is a similar one to Luigi, and Grab Forward has him headbutting the opponent, while Olimar's Up Tilt has the Pikmin in a rope attacking the opponent

-Both gain voices, the world needs to hear Olimar's Gigachad resident badass voice and Alph's awkward teenage boi voice lol also Olimar gains new Victory Poses representing more his "goofy dad" personality while Alph keeps the same as in the game

The Pac Man world games have been getting remakes, there's a webseries based on them, it was the main Pac Man thing in crossworlds, and Re-Pac 2 even gave him VA which shows they are more interested in giving him character his incarnation in Smash doesn't have whatsoever.

So, do you see or even would want to see Pacs representation in Smash shift from him being a stand in for retro Pac Man and BN stuff specifically to representing this different take on him via Pac-Village being a stage, or Pac Man being voiced, his moveset including the butt bounce, etc?

Personally I'd just want to see Pac-Village be replacing Pac-Land if anything else

Keeping to FE Kurt would be a great choice as Nintendos only Lesbian MC.

Id personaly love if FVN characters got in (Cooper or Cryus from RTF, or even Leo from Echo dispite his reputation)

Zelda is Nintendo's 3rd biggest franchise while FE is nichely popular, even behind Animal Crossing and Splatoon, tho they are certainly bigger than Kid Icarus, saying as someone who loves all three.

Zelda has a estabilished cast while the companions change a lot, while FE changes everyone in the cast, but Midna, Sidon and even Tetra don't look like each other, while Intsys pretty much barely gives their MCs anything but blue hair and a sword

Because the five in this pic are important in outside of the franchise as said in my previous post, there's no way to represent the weapon triangle correctly no anyway to make them distinct from each other because three of them have blue hair and all but Robin use swords as their main weapon (he uses still, but not a lot)

While Zelda is pretty much doomed to have only Triforce members because the actual unique, interesting and non-Triforce users are one-offs that never appear again, even Kokiris, Gerudos, Zoras and Gorons, who are recurring species throught the series, don't have a character to represent them

Even I as a FE fan who glazes Lucina and Chrom a lot, I think adding them was a mistake, they already have Robin, at least he doesn't look too much like Marth like the two are, I'd rather have Ninten and Alph if they still needed dev time to make Echoes, but PLEASE make them have unique moves to them instead of being 1 to 1, not even giving Luci and Chrom their lance would work because they're still from the same game as Robin, it's the same reason none of the 3H leaders were chosen, you can't pick one without the other 2, it's all three or nothing, but hey, if Sword and Shield didn't get a rep despite Pokémon being WAAAAY bigger, 3H shouldn't have got anything as well (tho it contradicts what I said about making FE mainstream, just doing this in a scenario where Roy, Corrin, Lucina and Chrom were never added, and Dixie Kong, any Zelda character, Ninten and Alph were in their places)
