Will this strip my tan?

I really want to use this body wash, but will it strip or fade my tan faster?

Rinsing hands early?

I see a lot of people here that rinse their hands early. Mine usually come out a little too dark so I’m considering this. I just don’t know when to rinse. I’m using nuda dark and I leave it on for 6 hours. Should I rinse my hands at 4 hours? What does everyone else do?

Norvell pre-tan prep spray

Does anyone use this?? Curious about the results. I just ordered a bottle and want to try it before self tanning. From my understanding, you spray all over the body and rub in and allow to dry directly before tanning?

Conflicting information. Advice?

So I’ve been indoor tanning for 15 years. I took about a 6 month break this year. Now that it’s summer I want to be tan again. So I decided to start indoor tanning again.

From my understanding you should always start in a uvb (level 1,2 -bronzing) bed to build color first. Then switch to a hybrid bed. The hybrid beds at the salon I go to are uva and redlight.

Today was my second session and the girl was trying to convince me to do a hybrid bed. I told her I needed to build color first, otherwise the uva has literally nothing to pull out, since it pulls out existing color. She argued and argued with me. Kept telling me that the bronzing bed will only tan the very top layer of my skin and it will fade fast.

Here’s my complete understanding, please feel free to tell me if I’m wrong:
UVB light stimulates the melanocyte cells in your skin to produce new melanin, which is the pigment that turns brown. Because you cannot tan without melanin, you need UVB rays initially to trigger its production.
UVA light penetrates deeper into the skin to oxidize (brown) the melanin that is already there. High-pressure beds emit almost pure UVA. However, if you start in a high-pressure UVA bed without a base tan, there won't be enough active melanin in your skin to oxidize, making the session highly inefficient.

Question about spray tan solutions

I recently tried the brand Nuda and I really liked the formula. But I see they have a pro website and offer spray tan solutions. I’d love to try their cappuccino brown base 15% DHA solution. I’ve seen where some have put Norvell spray solution into a pump bottle and used it that way. I was wondering if this would work for all spray solutions or if I’d be playing with fire? Advice please.

For those who moisturize their whole body before tanning

I’ve always thought the only areas you were supposed to moisturizing before tanning is your feet, ankles, knees, elbows, wrists and hands. But I’ve seen a lot on here that some people moisturize their whole body. My question is, if you do this how long do you let it soak in before tanning? Do you rinse your body off with water first? I see some people saying they get a really nice even tan the way but I’m afraid of it not sticking right if I do this.
