Remington 870 pad

I recently picked up a 90's era 870 law enforcement trade in (for super cheap). It basically looks unfired, has a nice parkerized barrel, and the stock has a little brass tag stamped into it that I find nifty.

The recoil pad, however, is kind of junk. Did Remingtons use a fairly standard size and shape? A few minutes on google shows wildly conflicting information, and some vendors want you to print out a template and trace then measure your stock. I was hoping to get a screw in, rather than slip on, and didn't want to do a grind to fit solution either.

Not sure if I'm just not looking for the right thing, or if there are so many options over the years I'll just need to do the 'trace and measure' one.

How does onboarding work?

Over the weekend I applied. Haven't seen anything come back in my email yet. Did I fail the application? I had assumed I would get some type of 'you're approved' email, so I haven't made time to log back in and check, yet (it's been a very, very, long weekend).

Where to look for a second job?

Life's pretty crap right now. 40 year old dude with an office job working 6am to 5pm, but it looks like I'm going to need to pick up a second job to make ends meet (My wife is currently under employed, with no real prospects of that changing, so our income got slashed almost in half).

I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. So probably a decent chance that Doordash/Uber/etc. could pay out, we only have one car for the family and I don't want to risk getting it into a wreck etc.

Tried Target, was told the hours I'm available don't work for them (5pm onward on weekdays, all weekend), so I dunno. Threw a couple applications at Starbucks jobs without any callbacks.

Tried Upwork, but it seems to be mostly marketing, website, and scams. I've got a ton of skills related to data analysis, manipulation, and transformation, but I'm not a web developer. Plus my wife spent a few months trying to get work from it, and most were 'give us a free demo oh we're just going to steal it thanks' scams.

Any other advice on where to look? I'm in Lewisville. Haven't had to pull a second job since I was in college 20+ years ago, so I'm a bit lost. Plus, grown ass man having to get a second job has me pretty down, trying not to throw myself a pity party.

Are there any mechanics which consider your whole stat, rather than your effective bonus?

Friend and I were discussing 'blessed objects that probably aren't as powerful as they look on the surface' and one that came up was for things that somehow give you 'more stat points' but specifically don't increase your stat bonus - so if you have 10 base, put on the ring of phantom strength for 1000 strength, you still have a +0 bonus, if that makes sense.

So really we were curious about which systems in DND5 use the 'whole stat' rather than the effective bonus.

Dallas area - market recovery?

Anyone know when the market in the DFW area might bounce back?

There are 6+ houses for sale in our couple blocks (including us), no one is getting showings, pricing is at or below market price for the area. We get visitors at open house and they say the price is right.

Other realtors have confirmed no showings, no sales. Friends 50 miles away (which is still the same market, welcome to DFW) confirm the same. Our realtor has 3 flips waiting to resell, my former realtor says the market is just as flat for her so it's not our current team.

It's frustrating, time on market when we listed was 30 days. Then 45. Then 90. Now it's 'who even knows anymore'.
