Was rooting for her in the first part.

People like to pretend there is some delineation that separates *their* editing/fliter use/touch-ups/cosmetic application/procedures from *other girls*.

At the end of the day, you noticed a feature you felt self-conscious of and you used the means available to conceal it. Giving yourself a porcelain, flawless complexion that hides your grease, pores, blemishes, discoloration, and wrinkles is not different or better than giving yourself longer eyelashes, slimmer features, fuller lips, accentuated proportions, or anything else.

Both negatively impact self-concept and the self-perception/social perception of the audience. Just practice honesty with yourself!

Community work, mulling over swtich to hybrid

I am a behavior consultant with intellectually disabled people, and a big part of my job is community engagement and facilitating self-direction. I did the math and in a typical week, I'm driving 248 miles to meet those objectives, across 3 counties. My current car (2021 Mazda CX-5) gets around 27 or 28 mpg. Between all these factors, would I be better off with a loan on a car less reliant on gas?

For any math whizzes: My payment is $230/month. My car's trade-in value is ~17,700. What mpg I should aim for to make a trade-in worth it? Assuming I traded in and wanted a comparable monthly payment, what ultimate price range should I be searching for? Any recommendations? Have you made a switch and had any thoughts on pros/cons? Thanks in advance!

Math related to hybrid car trade-in

My work (social work) offers $500 a year toward car maintenance, gas, and technology, since we are no longer permitted to write gas off on our taxes. That is not even a drip in the bucket, of course.

Books like 28 Days Later: Bone Temple?

Anyone know books similar to Bone Temple?

I am looking for a new book. I'm less about the creature feature element, to be honest. I love a dystopian/post-apocalyptic frame though!

My genre tends to skew psychological horror, focused on moral decay, manipulation, human depravity and desperation, etc. Charming, I know.

Jimmy and his fingers are by far the most compelling element of Bone Temple for me and I wish I could explore them more; hopefully someone knows a book that can scratch that itch.

Coffee/tea shops with free or discounted refills? Fill your own cup?

I have some work to do and like to visit cafes to complete it on occasion.

Once upon a time at their old location, Fuel had their big carafes out and you could purchase a cup to refill as needed. I know we live in a different world now and everything has a surcharge, but I wonder if there are any places that still offer this low-maintenance option.

I prefer spending at local/small businesses so Panera or other fast food options aren't exactly what I'm looking for. I value business unaffiliated with religion as well. Do these still exist anywhere in Lafayette?
