I am really liking making these shibori shirts!

I realize now that since I marked out the designs while the shirt was inside out, it will be mirrored. So I’ll remember that for the future. Any tips though on stopping the bleeding? No clue why the brown showed up either, as it wasn’t there before I added the gray. Thanks to P-ShunkAllstar on the idea for the gray!

I am making a shirt for my dad’s birthday, and this is more intricate than I have done before. I would like to have the red and blue halves alternating on each side of the shirt, if that makes sense. Blue on one side of the gray line, and red on the other. I just can’t wrap my head around having blue on one side with red touching it on the back side of the shirt. Does anyone have ideas on how to fold it so the blue and red parts remain separate from each other so I can scrunch them? If this makes no sense, hopefully the pictures help.
