anyone have good pet friendly hotels near myrtle beach?

planning a Myrtle beach trip with my dog and i'm mainly looking for somewhere close to the beach where the room is comfortable enough for a few nights. i'm seeing a lot of options when i search pet friendly hotels but im worried because a lot of places say they're pet friendly, but then you get into the details and there are weight limits, extra fees, breed restrictions, or the dog can't really go anywhere outside the room.

Small riding lawn mower - what should I know before buying one for a half acre yard?

I'm done with push mowing lol. Half acre yard, takes me almost two hours every weekend and my back is destroyed by the end of it.

Been looking into getting a small riding lawn mower but there's way more to figure out than I expected. Didn't even know lap bar vs steering wheel was a thing until last week. Steering wheel feels more natural to me but people seem to really like lap bars on zero turns.

My yard has a few trees and a garden bed to mow around so maneuverability matters but I also don't want to overspend. Any homeowners with a similar yard size make this switch? What did you go with?

Is it normal for a house to make random noises at night?

this is probably a dumb question but we moved into our house about 6 months ago and every night I hear this faint clicking/ticking sound and it's driving me a little crazy trying to figure out what it is. it's not loud at all, more like a soft tick tick tick. happens mostly when it's quiet and late. my partner says I'm overthinking it and it's just the house settling but idk that feels like a cop out answer lol. is this a thing? like do houses just make noise? or should I be looking into something specific. pipes, HVAC, something else? first time homeowner so I genuinely have no idea what's normal
