Why can't I log in after creating a new account?
Hi! Some weeks ago I created a new account (not this one I'm posting from) from an new email for privacy reasons. While signing up, I was selecting my interests and when I clicked next, that pop-up window disappeared and then I was in the home screen, so I tried logging in with the credentials I had just created but it said the password or username don't work. I changed the password twice, but still it doesn't allow me to log in. I tried both with username and email but nothing works. But I know the account was created because I got an email saying at the bottom something like "you're reading this email because the Reddit account u/....... is registered with this email", I contacted support twice and I haven't gotten an answer, I read that it usually takes like 3-5 business days but it's been more than two weeks.
I wouldn't like to create a new account because I want to keep that username I created, but I don't know what else to do. I have read that maybe a glitch happened while signing in, but I don't know. I tried logging in on my laptop with regular browser and incognito browser and on my phone but nothing works.
Has someone experienced this or knows what to do? Thanks
