I got banned from art trading cuz I disagreed with a Mod didn’t count as art trading. They banned me for harassment but these were the only things I said to get banned though.

im pretty confused ngl is there a way to appeal this ban?

My Reddit account got randomly deleted

I don't know what to do honestly. It got randomly deleted. The account has no offensive content, didn't break any sub rules and I got randomly deleted.

Could VPN usage trigger Reddit bots?

I’m not appealing the ban here — I’m just trying to understand what I should avoid doing in the future.

My account was shadowbanned around 3 years ago.

At that time it was already an old and active account with decent karma. I had never been banned or even warned for breaking any rules, so the shadowban came completely out of nowhere.

I sent multiple messages to Reddit support back then but never received a single response. Every new account I created after that also ended up getting banned pretty quickly, so eventually I gave up and just kept using Reddit for browsing only.

Yesterday I suddenly received a message asking me to reset my password, so I did. And today, somehow, my profile started working again as if the shadowban had been removed.

So now my question is: what should I do to avoid getting banned again in a few days? I still have no idea what caused it in the first place.

The only thing I can think of is VPN usage. Can Reddit’s automated systems shadowban accounts because of VPNs?

The thing is, without a VPN I can’t fully access Reddit and some other services in my country, so my VPN is basically always enabled on all devices. It’s a paid VPN, not a free/public one.

Could that really be the reason?

I'm fed up with Reddit constantly deleting my posts in so many horror communities for no reason. It's one of the worst social media apps after Instagram and Twitter

Why does reddit still delete my art in all communities horror artists for no reason

Can I report a subreddit for completely repurposing a sub?

It was originally a sub for people who didn’t like a popular show. Someone took the sub over through a request to Reddit and immediately repurposed it as a fan sub. Is that disallowed and if so how do I report them?

Have suspicious activity going on in my account

I know I have been hacked and the password has been changed multiple times and doesn't seem to do anything. Also how can more than one person use the account at the same time? It's weird that reddit allows this.

I know it's suspicious activity cause the damn person or bot or whatever keeps joining tranny reddits and I want nothing to do with them. It's really annoying. Any idea on how to stop this?. I know contacting reddit does nothing so it's pointless to try and get help from them. So anyone know what's going on with my account?

Thanks

Unmoderated Subreddit violating TOS?

There’s a sub I’ve been reporting for a while that constantly promotes hostility between age groups, allows harassment and doxxing, as well as obvious ragebait. It only has one "active account" on the moderator list that seemingly does nothing and an automoderator that is pretty much broken. I've tried reporting content that violates their sub rules and nothing happens. I've also tried to report the group directly to reddit which goes nowhere and the same content stays up repeatedly.

At what point does Reddit actually intervene with a community that’s effectively abandoned and constantly breaking sitewide rules?

Reddit sends me a "new login to your account" email every time I log in, despite being unsubscribed from all emails and having all email permissions turned off

I've suddenly started getting emails every time I log in. I've had this account for years, always log in in an incognito tab only, then close the tab when I'm done, and I've never had this issue. But about a week or two ago it started, and I really don't want this to happen, because I'd prefer to keep this account secret (for obvious reasons), but the email associating with this account is the one I'm logged in on on my phone and PC, which someone could come across accidently.

If anyone knows how to turn this off (ideally without needing to block reddit's email address entirely), please let me know.

Bot bouncer ban

Hi! I use Reddit daily, but I have been banned by botbouncer from all my main subreddits. Even things like AITAH and askreddit😭 I’ve tried to appeal and even offered to verify/send ID but no luck. Is there any hope?

Want to start again with a new name but I'm afraid of automated spam filters

Hello sirs,

I started using Reddit with two different profiles, one for videos with my real name, and one for cartoons and jokes. The second one quickly started having problems. I think it was automatically tagged as spam. I don't know if it was because I was using two accounts with the same phone and the same computer.

I deleted that account and enjoyed posting everything with the other account without problems, but this account I'm using has my real name and it doesn't feel alright. In the Spanish subreddits there is a lot of hate and I don't feel comfortable. Whenever I ban someone I get insulted, and I would prefer to receive insults with some nickname.

And i understand it's not possible to change the user name.

But maybe is it possible to get back the one I deleted? It was u/listocomics

I don't know what was the problem with u/listocomics but I don't want to fall in the same trap again.

With the user I'm using now everything works fine, I've created several communities and I'm getting lots of karma without problem. I want to keep enjoying Reddit like this but without showing my name.

Is it ok if I create a new one or I may have problems if I use it from the same phone and the same computer?

If this is not the place for this kind of questions please tell me where can I ask.

Thanks for everything

Subreddit creation help.

Hi all,

I'm thinking about creating a sub reddit and would like to chat to people who started their own sub, to figure out a few things before I take the jump.

I know I will be the moderator for the sub once it's up and running but as I am a reasonable newbie, I'm not sure I would be up to that job.

TIA

Dave

That feeling when you accidentally swipe away from a comment you spent ages typing, before you hit publish, and it disappears

Auto-save of draft comments when switching from a post to a main feed and back to the post would be such a cool feature on mobile.

Here’s the scenario… on mobile, go to a post, start typing a comment, don’t hit publish, swipe away from the post / navigate back to a main feed, go back to the post you were previously on, go back to the comment field…

What would be nice… your draft comment was still there.

What I’ve seen happen: the text of the draft comment is gone.

Help!! Very confused

So I'm a moderator of a sub, and someone made fun of sexual assault so I had to deal with some stuff and moderate the comments. But now, a few days later, I'm getting a notification that I was given a warning that I was vote manipulating? What does that mean? I was downvoted because I enforced one of the rules in the sub that says that you cannot make fun of sexual assault and rape, which was happening. Now, a few days later, I'm getting this notification. What does it mean? How did it happen? I don't have any other accounts except for the browse anonymous one, but that doesn't let me do anything. Is there any way I can get this removed? I don't want my account to be deleted.

One of my fellow mods got banned off reddit. He appealed to it and reddit told him he got unbanned. He still hasn't been unbanned.

Posting on behalf of a fellow mod

User u/ct-9904\_crosshair\_ was mass reported by cyberstalkers and got permabanned. He successfully appealed it, however his account has remain banned despite the appeal saying his account would be reinstated. This is NOT a case of multiple violations in one, as there was only ONE violation and it got appealed. Can an admin please come and fix this? He’s an extremely important figure in multiple Reddit communities, and one subreddit is already falling apart in his absence. Thank you.

Suddenly no longer able to block users

The last few days, I've been unable to block users (by clicking through to their profile and clicking 'block user'.

I receive a red banner with the message "You can't block username for 24 hours after unblocking them".

It's the first time I've tried to block them and it has happened with a number of users.
