I just turned followers back on; I honestly used to just block anyone that followed me, bc it seemed weird.

Context; I have a real life stalker who keeps making reddit accounts to harass me.

Anyways, what things prevent you from seeing a follower?

Can you follow an account you’ve blocked?

Can anybody else see it?

To Sharon, who just spoke (at 12:20 noon) and equated the shooting in Belleville to the suffering of Jewish people since Oct 7th.

I get that our radio lets all voices be expressed (which is awesome) but it just sucks that callers are using a hate crime (that happened about 15 houses down the street from me) to try and use antisemetic tropes of conflating a religion with a political ideology.

So like… here’s a thoughtful reminder that it’s maybe not appropriate to try and conflate a hate crime that happened in (my) community to denying Israels genocide.

Like, I don’t understand how talking about the Belleville shooting- which was likely a hate crime against Jewish people- could be related to Oct 7th, other than as an attempt to hijack that suffering and try and equate it to anything that could be viewed as a foreign colonizers war crimes.

It sucks that it looks like, already, within 24 hours, this tragic event, this almost certain hate crime, is being hijacked by bad faith actors to try and justify a narrative that maybe isn’t supported by evidence and reality.

Anyways, Sharon, your view points really bummed me out; your words implied that the Jewish community supports genocide, and I don’t think that is an accurate representation of Canadian, or Jewish, discourse.

Zionism is a political ideology.

Judaism is an ethnicity and a religion.

It’s not appropriate to assume that by nature of someone’s religion and ethnicity that they are somehow predisposed to accept a lowered human rights discourse.

It’s disheartening that our political literacy is so low that the idea that Israel committing genocide and the idea that Belleville likely just faced a hate crime against Jewish people, are seemingly too complex of subjects to exist simultaneously, at least as reflected by the choice of callers just on cbc.

Would it be theoretically possible for any solar system, but let’s say earth, to have the following happen?

Our solar system travels through a giant gas cloud that is somehow heavy (or whatever) enough to to breach our heliosphere, and change the background void stuff of our solar system into something different than that half an atom per cubic km or whatever it is rate.

Are there naturally existing parameters where a solar system could be “taken out” this way?

Ie conditions where our solar system could travel through some sort of space cloud thing that could somehow cause the vacuum of space to have enough molecules to ignite the distance between the sun and earth?

And to that extent; you know how rock records can tell us when volcanoes go off?

Does earth have any evidence in our total geological history that could suggest we have traveled through some weird vague something sort of like that before?

Are there even gas clouds in space, that somehow aren’t travelling with the spiral of the Milky Way (or whatever), thst we could even possible transit?

In my session tonight, the party, school children who live in an oppressive toleration society called the East, hear rumours that another nation, the West, just had a fireball self type moment with a level 30 wild magic sorcerer, and destroyed two giant phalluses and a negligible amount of their population.

It appears that the fire ball self guy is trying to cover it up, and is trying to use xenophobia to blame it on the East.

Given the rumours that this barbaric West shoots school children for fun, or facts like the West having dragon riders who routinely fly to the East and obliterate entire villages, the party is worried.

Their first mission is going to go to school to get an education to be able to help solve the issues related to this eternal conflict.

But then as soon as they make it to the school, I’m going to have one of the dragon riders come in, and gave the entire town make a dex save for 750d6 fire and 250d6 piercing (don’t worry it’s a save or suck not an ‘or half’- theres a chance to make the save still).

Do you think that will TPK them?

Also, I do have a b side adventure planned today themed off of pearl harbour, given maybe the 9/11 thing is just low hanging fruit.

After realizing that the school would certainly be dragon blasted, they went and joined the mountain tribes as it was literally their safest option.

Surprisingly, their long game plan is now to sneak into the West, and magically rebuild the phalluses ether by massive amount of 9th level summon creature spells, or via building them somewhere else and then teleporting them into place as an attempt at sorry, even though it wasn’t them who did it.

I’ve have had Reddit about 1.5 years.

This has been my only account.

I have been permanently banned from Reddit with this account maybe 9 times now (that also means I’ve gotten a warning, 1, 5 and 7 day ban).

I have successfully appealed every single one, because all of them were fake reports.

Also, 92 % of the reports were pertaining to the subject of Israeli genocide (12/13), and false claims of antisemitism.

I just realized that I haven’t had a false Reddit ban that I’ve had to appeal via the admin time in like 5 months, despite not changing or shifting my tone or views on the subject.

The difference?

Whenever somebody comments trying to rationalize or deny genocide, instead of responding to them, for the most part I just block their account.

Anyways, given all the aspects of virtual warfare/terrorism that exists within reddit to help spew various nations propaganda (for example, my nations namesake sub is visibly hijacked by Zionists in a way that in no way reflects my nation irl), and given more specific things like Israel being caught using mass bot accounts to help misguide AI results, or just their 730 million a year propaganda budget…

…It’s interesting what one can infer from this situation.

While talking about Israel with an academic and non hateful lens, my account kept getting fake reports, to the point this account has been perma banned from Reddit with the appeals won 9 times now.

When I started just blocking anybody who was trolling, the fake reports stopped.

Given functions of candour and integrity when it comes to academic discourse, my experience adds up.

But another important dynamic to this factor; the complicity of reddit admins.

A few of my false reports took 15 days to overturn.

This means that some Reddit admin actually looked at my statement of say, posting a doctors without boarders article talking about doctors being shot at by the IDF, and seriously viewed it as antisemitic.

Where given Reddit, like all virtual spaces, is an extension of various real life conflict zones, and given this theatre of battle just as important as the non virtual ones, it is reasonable that some Reddit admins would also be in on helping pushing a false narrative on certain geopolitical issues too.

In high school (2005) I did a paper on the possible feedback loop between Co2 saturation in the atmosphere and volcanoes erupting, and I’m wondering if this idea rings a bell to anybody, and or if there have been any new discoveries to this concept.

I do remember that throughout history, there was a lot of evidence suggesting that pretty much every single time the CO2 levels got to a certain threshold, earth entered a time period of heightened volcanic activity.

And like to a degree that it very much required a further look by humanity in general.

It should be noted that at the time, the relationship was coral not causal (ie we didn’t know what caused what, just that periods of intense volcanoe times tend to coincide super high with Co2 levels right before).

I’m pretty sure the project was me speculating that this was likely a homeostatic mechanical earth uses to maintain equilibrium; co2 gets us too (this might have been someone else’s idea; I’m pretty sure it was mine but ether way).

Auto correct has gone down hill in the last few months, and it correlates strongly with AI.

My original conspiracy was that they made auto correct shitty at the same time they made google default to AI as the top search.

Can’t spell a word wrong enough to even ping on auto correct, so I have to google it, thus using AI without a choice, where at the same time I’m guessing auto correct has been reverse engineered to try and incorporate AI into it to begin with.

So feedback loops in the exact way we know AI causes feedback loops on other fronts, like image generation, or using Reddit as a source for google searches.

But the plot thickens.

With the last two weeks, my auto correct had been changing “peace” into “leave”.

It’s changed “thanks” into “faggot”.

There’s been a few others too.

I don’t really ever use the word “faggot”, and I’ve said “peace” as an end statement to comments for a really long time lol.

The terms auto correct is changing are words I’m spelling correctly.

They are words outside of my vernacular.

They are worlds that completely flip a statements tone.

Anyways the conspiracy; corporations are causing auto correct to change our texts, to help create a more hostile political environment of mis/disinformation.

I was sexually assaulted in a parking lot three years ago by a guy who was jealous I was dating their ex.

When the attack happened, another person pulled the attacker off of me; that person was bitten so badly they were hospitalized.

When the other victim and myself went to the police, the police lied to us and told us both that the other person was refusing to press charges, and to walk away.

Both of us escalated it and were both told no we could not press charges- the sexual assault happened in a parking lot with witnesses, and then dude had a chunk of flesh ripped out of flesh from the attackers teeth.

This took place in Belleville Ontario, June 2023.

It ended up being escalated to the police chief hanging up on me, telling me to stop being so dramatic.

I then uncovered that this rapist has attacked numerous other people in my town; when the police refused to press charges, I had to gather the evidence myself, and in doing so, found 3 other people who had been attacked by this guy, went to the police, and were blocked from pressing charges.

Throughout navigating all of this bs, I have had three different social service workers with a combined experience of 50/100 years-ish all same the exact same thing to me independently- the only time they’ve ever seen police protect somebody like this is when the attacker was an informant.

3 data sets is a trend line, and I find it notable that three different professionals, all of whom specially work in women’s shelters/victim services, all independently came to the exact same conclusion.

But yeah, to the pros; what are your thoughts on “I’ve only ever seen police protect a person this way when they’re an informant”?

In your experience, does that add up?
