My Security Breach Challenge Build!

Built the entire entrance lobby and some of the utility tunnels in extreme detail in under 24 hours!
(roughly 19.4 hours)

Was built originally to be a command block minigame map but it ended up being a recreation of the lobby at about 1.5:1 scale. Hope you enjoy! :)

Shader: Solas

(update) a resource pack that adds textures for enchanted armor. first phase. suggestions are welcom (read description)

these are protection types and thier levels ( model and item )

a lot of textures may be changed or tweaked in tbe future

the 2 in the bottom right corner are redesigns for the base texture ( leather and chainmail )

I've finished most of the first phase of the pack ( only turtle helmet and alt textures are left )

I've resigned the chainmail armor so I can work with it. inspired by another texture pack ( credits are in the modrinth page )

I have a job interview tomorrow so it will take a bit before I start the next phase with chestplates . I also need to fix some bugs and i need to find a way to make it work for fabric users since the only way I got it to work is with optifine especially that cit resawn was disconnected.

when I finish the all the armor pieces from all the sets I'll start working on other enchantments especially that I need to figure out how to make layerd textures

Dungeons weapons for my resource pack! What Do we think?

I've made a resource pack that let's you rename your weapons to some dungeons weapons that changes their looks (with more to come later!). These are some of the sprites I've made and are in the pack as of right now. Please let me know what you think and how i can improve my pack! It's called dungeons redone.

what type of Train apocalypse survival would you prefer to play?

(if this breaks the rules ill remove it, i think this works with Rule 9?)
im working on a apocalyptic survival modpack and i have a few ideas im going for but im not sure what ones to go with.

the options are.

- desert apocalypse
- winter apocalypse
- over grown apocalypse

each one would deal with its own challenges and i like them all but im just not sure what one i should go for?
each one would have to be build into a lot so i wont be able to just do all 3 and let the players choose sadly.

(a bit more information)

this pack would be a train survival game, you live on a train and you would have to manage food, water, and fuel all while settling down is hard due to how harsh the world is now, your train is your life line, without it you would die.
you can find different train cars to loot or to use along your journey.
from time to time you might even come across an old building but those are rare these days.

You can duplicate books by simply crafting them with other unwritten books

A known fact for sure, but unknown to many.

Whitelists are now enabled in the new snapshot! This will help a lot of servers by default be protected by griefers using server scanners and hacked clients

Long overdue change, nice nice

u/DereChen — 4 days ago

Warning: Server scanning griefing groups are trying to ruin as many non-whitelisted servers as possible before Minecraft's whitelist-by-default update takes effect, as a "last hurrah" (Look out for Break Blocks Club, The 5th Column, MLPI, Xova)

Last year, i made a post here about one of the 5th column affiliated griefing groups, MLPI and how they harassed us. https://www.reddit.com/r/Minecraft2/s/JlojMmKae5

Since then, the griefing group has crumbled and fractured which is good news, with their lead admin ogmur being banned. However there's news today I have to warn anyone running a Minecraft server

After Mojang announced that new Minecraft servers will have whitelists enabled by default, several organized griefing communities have been encouraging members to target vulnerable servers while they still can.

Mojang's whitelist-by-default update is one of the biggest improvements server owners have received in a long time. It should prevent countless smaller servers from being discovered the same way ours was.

Members of these griefing communities have already voiced frustration over the update because it removes many of the easy targets they previously relied on and are actively rallying for one "last hurrah" wave of griefs. Lets thwart their efforts!!

If you haven't already, now is a good time to whitelist your server and keep an eye out for groups such as Break Blocks Club, The 5th Column, MLPI (Mojang Loss Prevention Inc.), and XOVA.

These discussions have been taking place in griefing Discord servers with thousands of members, where users have openly complained about the whitelist changes. The update is clearly making automated server scanning much less effective, which is great news for server owners.

Fortunately, these organized griefers do not appear to be nearly as active or influential as they were during the major server-scanning waves over the past few years. From everything I've seen, they've lost a considerable amount of momentum. Their primary Discord server was eventually taken down, and the group's leadership has also shown signs of instability, including their administrator using the player name "Ogmur" being banned. They are still capable of damaging poorly protected servers, but they no longer seem to have the same reach they once had.

If you manage a server, take a few minutes to review your security:

Enable a whitelist.

Set online-mode=true so players must authenticate.

Keep regular backups.

Watch your logs for repeated connection attempts

Hopefully, Minecraft's new whitelist-by-default system marks the beginning of the end for large-scale automated server scanning. It won't eliminate griefing entirely, but it should make it significantly harder for groups that depended on mass scanning to find easy targets.
