For those that don't know, the default configuration for Minecraft servers has left a massive vulnerability wide open for years. Because /whitelist off was always the default setting in the server properties file, any time someone spun up a private server for their friends or family, it was instantly exposed to the public internet whether they shared the IP address or not. Over the past few few years, griefers took advantage of this by running automated server scanners that constantly sweep the entire internet for open ports, compiling every discovered server into massive databases. It's pretty easy to make code wise, since IPs are just numeric.

User was removed after hacking/thieving but his build will be indexed.

User then attempted to hide the items underneath their new base, but moderators picked up the achievement alerts on the public server website.

Obviously first jail, mute them too and remove all griefing capabilities, but it's hilarious seeing them in shrunken / grown forms using the /attribute command (you can change player sizes with this).

It also interferes with their hacks a lot, especially movement ones like flight.

Cool stuff. Crazy how Minecraft got me into the field I am today.
