How the hell does a battery degrade this badly?

It's a Asus ROG GTX1060 6G

A frend giftet it because it didn't work.

Somehow he didn't see that

I used this phone from May 2020 until around August 2021 when I got a new phone. I gave it to a friend and he managed to get it icloud locked like 3 months later, and it's been sitting in the same state since. It's kinda crazy to realize that I managed to do this to a phone in under a year... I think I watched too much TechRax as a kid or something. Other than its.... physical defects everything still works fine and it has a surprisingly decent 82% battery health. The speakers are actually way louder than my (probably defective/3rd party) SE 3rd gen speakers. I've had the 3rd gen about as long as I had this phone and it looks new in comparison.

My father asked me to clean up his old pc from 2010. There was what seemed to be pop spilled all over the back of the GPU. IPA didn't touch it so I ran it under the sink to clean it.

I did after running it under the tap soak it in IPA to try and push out all the water. Then dried it with a hair dryer on low. Threw it back into the pc and booted up fine.

The amount of dust was also nasty but that's not relavent for this sub.

I found this Samsung SSD 512gb on roadside it's in bad condition as you can see

Is there is chance this could work after repair or is it repairable please tell me so I can go to repair shop if needed
