I thought I would finally get BF2 (very late to the party, I know) for PS5 and was just wondering what modes people like. Looks like HVV is the most popular but that’s the mode I’m least interested in

Any love for other modes? How active are they?

I’m not sure if this is common enough to be called an epidemic yet, but I’ve seen it enough times in the past couple of days to call it a problem. I don’t mind if someone goes afk for a couple of minutes because life happens, but these are people who will spawn into a match and just sit there not contributing at all for an entire match and in some cases will actively move around and shoot at stuff in the environment but not actually go into the combat. And if god forbid I get put into a squad with one of these wastes of oxygen, I have to be extra careful choosing where to spawn or else be worse off than if I had just gone with the default spawn. I legitimately am at a loss wondering why someone would get a kick out of behaving like this.

Hi, new to this subreddit. I was looking at getting back into the original ea dice battlefront 1 and 2 games. I remember playing a few years back that finding matches was difficult. How is the playerbase of both games now in 2026. Is it worth buying online for again. Thanks!

Why add the ball droids when we can have R2D2 and C3PO lol and then I guess that you can put a ball droid and something else on the other team

i have to vent, ladies and gentlemen. just had an amazing ground phase on supremacy. score was like 90% to 100%. i mean every speeder and vehicle was being used, clones and droids genuinely everywhere, it was a bloodbath of a ground phase. it only had me excited to see how competitive ship would be and how many times we’ll have to go back down.

well unfortunately, about 6-7 guys on the enemy team remembered that their test levels were below hell, so they continue to immediately pull out droidekas to roll on points and pipe glitch with aerials. we lost that ship phase immediately.

this supremacy game had the writings on the wall to be a classic old school 2-3 hour supremacy match. teams were even as fuck. heroes (honestly) weren’t that good so they weren’t really a factor. just straight infantry. shit was immediately ruined by droideka rolling. it is the year 2026. a full decade has passed since launch. about 7 or so years since the release of droidekas. if you still have not found a good way to win supremacy without droideka rolling, i can only assume no one loves u enough to have just a little bit of pride or dignity. and it’s not even fully the fact that they droideka rolled.. that typa shit happens. it’s just the fact that it was such a good lobby.. such an even game.. like if u didn’t feel like playing that long why not just back out? you’re THAT bad at the game? i don’t know when i’ll ever find another lobby that was so evenly matched up like this one was.

I've been on a sw kick lately with outlaws and I want more from my younger years. I want to play bf2 but I know it's notoriously bad port on the switch 1. I've seen some posts saying most of it is fixed just by the switch 2 hardware alone. I know MP is dead and I would only play with bots. Would love some input from others.

My brother and I have been doing a lot of Coop matches to level our characters and learn the basics and wanted to try some PvP. We tried Queuing for a few of the options and it kept saying "Looking for 15 more players to start" and would bounce between 15 and 14 for a few mins until we gave up.

Is there a PvP game mode that queues reasonably quickly?

Ive been playing for about 2 weeks now and i have some thoughts on the game. I know the game us kinda old but forgive for any of my ignorance

Lack of characters- I hopped on expecting to see a bunch if my favorite characters but was left disappointed. Is there a good reason many characters from clone wars arent in the game? Ive seen some clips from the pc kyber mod with an abundance of characters they could take notes from.

Lack of guns- why is there only like 4 guns for each class. 1/2 of them arent that useful either. I think there should be more guns and attachments to add variety

Sabers- i think lightsaber play could use a lot of work and maybe even take some things from the jedi survivor games. I think it relies too much on the reticle because at the base its a shooter game. Everybody loves the lightsaber characters and i think its a disservice to fans for poor mechanics.

Stargighters- i really like this mode

Level system- other than star cards guns and appearances there usnt much point in grinding lvls.

These are just some of my thoughts and i hope they could be implemented into battlefront 3 if that ever comes

I’m casually playing the game once or twice a year when ps plus weekend kicks in, yet the amount of MAX level campers who just exploit either barrel rolling, placing turrets in unreachable points and other exploits. How boring must your life be knowing you’ve put hundreds of hours just to ruin casual players playing this game once in a while. I must say all I feel is pity, I’ve stopped playing this weekend because of this people. But I’m sure this game is full of 40y/os with no life thinking they’re cool ruining the game for everyone! And I’m sure they’re lurking on this sub so good luck✌🏻
