Today is Ok Computer's 29th anniversary
Ok Computer was released in May 21st, 1997 , 29 years ago today, Honestly one of the greatest albums if not the greatest of all time, in my opnion , The songs doesn't even sound like they're from 1997 , If i had never heard of radiohead and somebody told me to give a listen to it and lied to me saying that it released recently, I would honestly believe them
Im hoping radiohead releases their 10th album in the near future, It would be very exciting :)
Ed O’Brien: “Technology’s evolution on the human psyche is a massive problem”
huckmag.comGot my Blue Morpho this morning!
Shipment from W.A.S.T.E. arrived earlier than expected!! (thank you Royal Mail)
- Blue Morpho Ltd Ed 7" single
- Blue Morpho Exclusive Cream Vinyl
- Signed Print
I will play it this evening
The band was supposed to cover my favorite Peter Gabriel song “wallflower“ on an album of Peter Gabriel covers called “and I’ll scratch yours“. But they bailed, citing some kind of interaction they didn’t like. Anybody know anything about this?
He covered “street spirit” on his album “scratch my back”. The idea was, he would cover a song and then that artist would cover his songs, but they walked away from it after committing. Just interested in knowing why.
Why does everyone hate on Pablo Honey?
im listening to it right now and its just not bad at all???
Blue Morpho copy arrived early
Just received my W.A.S.T.E pre-order of Blue Morpho, which was a nice surprise (Royal Mail said it’d probably arrive by Saturday)!
Giving it a first listen now!
Update: I dig it! Quite different to what I would’ve expected. Kõrvit’s string arrangements are light and airy - well suited to the song Blue Morpho - which was well contrasted by the talkbox/wah guitar part in Teachers. The album has real ebb and flow; well worth giving a proper listen to!
So a bunch of us got together and made a fanzine. It's called ALL THESE WEIRD CREATURES
Hello reddit. I've been a little nervous about putting this out on here, but I think some of you will genuinely like this thing we made.
A group of us from the mod team here and over at etceteraforum.com got together earlier this year to create a 48-page physical Radiohead fanzine. It's packed with articles, essays, reviews, tour coverage, artwork, fan stories, and community contributions. The first issue is focused on the 2025 tour and everything in it was made by fans, for fans.
An enormous amount of work went into this. The idea was to document the Radiohead fandom in real time, not just the band itself, but the weird orbit around it: the art, discussions, live experiences, side projects, rumours, discoveries, and creativity that still exists in this community after all these years. This is for everyone that loves this band.
We were lucky enough to speak to Dave May, director of the recent Thom Yorke film, for an exclusive interview. Jonathan Zawada also contributed a quote about the Tall Tales artwork, and later sent back an incredibly lovely message after receiving his copy.
100 copies were professionally printed and sold basically at cost, mostly through the forum community, and there are about 20 left from the run. I've shared little bits and pieces online, but most of it is staying physical. It just feels better as an object you can hold in your hands and look through.
Issue 02 is already underway (it's centred around Ed), and we'd also love contributions from anyone here who's interested in writing, photography, artwork, reviews, strange archive finds, or anything else that fits the spirit of it. Please comment here or DM if you'd like to get involved!
I've been part of this community for over 20 years now, and making this has been enormous fun. Huge thank you to the people that supported this mad thing on the forum, your photos of it arriving in the mail made my day!
Pics of it here:
WITH THANKS TO…

Ed O'Brien's Blue Morpho - Album First Impressions
I came back from the listening event here in Corona (I highly recommend DBZ Books N Records if you're in the area and looking for a record or two). Overall, I really enjoyed Ed's latest project. Personally, I find that a great way to describe this album is to split it into 2 parts.
The first half - the first 3 songs - feels introspective. As for the final half - the final 4 songs - the tracks suddenly shift in tone to become surprisingly upbeat and hopeful. Much like Ed's debut album, the guitar work is solid and the use of percussion continues hinting at his time being in Brazil. His use of the orchestra is also quite excellent.
A complaint I can see people having with the album is that it lets Ed's vocals take a backseat. I personally think that isn't such an awful thing since doing so allows the instrumentation to really shine. His voice here is complimentary more than it is prominent.
In short, I think you will all enjoy the album as I did today. This album will definitely get another listen from me, which will allow me to further develop my thoughts on each track. With that said, I think the tracks that currently stand out the most are definitely Teachers and Obrigado with the latter arguably being Ed's best solo work so far.
Was Kinetic really supposed to replace Idioteque on Kid A?
I’ve been researching Kinetic, and I can’t find any confirmed evidence about it almost replacing Idioteque on the tracklisting for Kid A. It’s been spread around on the internet over the years, but I can’t seem to find how the claim came to be. Just a fake myth? Just a guess, based on the fact Kinetic was worked on in Kid A sessions?
why is there a safe search feature poping when i search thom yorke images ???
like genuienly asking , WHY IS THAT THERE ??
is it cuz of his political aspects or what ??
how is talk show host so good?
plz explain.

Has Radiohead ever made anything like The King of Limbs again?
A few weeks ago I finally finished listening to all 9 studio albums. The musical style of The King of Limbs really captivated me and I was wondering if there were any Radiohead songs outside the albums that shared a similar style to songs like those in the album.
