CredasID Checks - Timelines?

Hello!

Had a question regarding first stage AML checks. Our solicitor has an online portal that had “todo” lists - one of those is CredasID checks.

We got the notification last Thursday and completed the checks via their app within an hour of getting the text, however on the solicitors portal it says they haven’t received CredasID checks for AML. When i log into CredasID app, it says they have received all the requested information.

I called the Solicitor yesterday and she informed me that she hasn’t even been directly been handed our case file yet until these checks have been done, i asked how long that could take or if there has been any issues, she said it would be with the handling team to review.

Anyone else had to use CredasID or familiar with how long these checks typically take? I can’t imagine it takes a week to check someone’s passport and proof of address? Just looking for a sanity check before chasing the solicitors again

Seems like a decent deal. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out, Tolu

Incredibly Frustrating Chase Experience

Opened a chase account as a first time customer, created an account and got to the main login screen. First "niggle" i experienced was I was unable to set a PIN. It prompted me, i tried a PIN and it said error. Fine, no big deal, I wasn't sure if I'd recieve a card with a default pin and I could try later.

I then go to create a saving account (the only reason I wanted to move to chase was for the boosted pot). Open an account, no option for boosted saver. Open the account anyway to see if it would apply retrospectively, nothing.

Contact customer support, explain my situation with the PIN and no access to a boosted saver, despite their deal. Lot of back and forth with sending screenshots, eventually the advice was they will see if any other onboarding customers are experiencing the same issue, recommended to uninstall the app and ensure I am on the wifi.

I informed them I am indeed on Wifi, not mobile data, accepted they can contact me tomorrow, and reinstalled the app. I tried to log in again with the app reinstalled, and now if I try to login, it just gives me an error, so I can't even get into my account.

If this is the onboarding experience for a brand new customer, absolutely shocking. Never had such a friction filled experience for what should be a fairly simple app. Not sure if this is the norm or if others experience issues like this frequently?

EDIT Spoke to customer support on the phone, they seem confused to my issue and said on the backend they are experiencing issues. Perhaps unlucky, or perhaps been fobbed off onto someone elses problem tomorrow. Time will tell.
