[SOTC] My collection is complete

I think I have a type. Monochromatic perfection, in my opinion. If I had to boil it down to a single watch, it would be the GMT, my first luxury watch. All of these get good wear since they are basically interchangeable. Similar, yet very different. What are your thoughts?

The watches pictured are:

Rolex Daytona Panda 126500LN

GMT Master II Bruce Wayne 126710GRNR

Datejust 41 with BLUE dial (looks black in some lighting)

Submariner Date 126610LN

Grand Seiko 45GS Recreation SLGW005

Omega Speedmaster Ed White Calibre 321

I haven’t smiled this big for a while

My 321 Ed White just arrived. My mind is blown.
2026 unworn, purchased via secondary market since I don’t have any OB near me nor do I have sufficient purchase history. In talking with my nearest AD it seemed very unlikely to happen, combo of them not seeing any for a long time and my purchase history was just a single 3861 Speedy.

Anyways, the damage is done. I now get to enjoy this beauty for the rest of my life! Could not be happier with it. Truly incredible feel. It’s just as comfortable, if not more comfortable, than a 126500 Daytona.

Absolutely insane. Grinning from ear to ear, can barely type this.

Keep or sell my 3861 after getting a 321 Ed White?

My 321 Ed White arrives next week and I’m beyond excited.

Originally I assumed it would completely replace my 3861, but now I’m not so sure. On paper there’s a lot of overlap, but the more I read, the more it seems like they occupy very different roles once you actually live with them.

The 3861 feels like the “final form” modern Moonwatch: hacking seconds, anti-magnetic, more robust, easier daily wear, etc.

Meanwhile the 321 seems more like a mechanical art piece with all the emotional/history/tactile aspects people rave about: column wheel feel, single watchmaker assembly, vintage architecture, DON bezel, stepped dial, etc.

For those who own or have owned both:
- Did the 321 completely replace your 3861?
- Or did the 3861 end up becoming the more practical/grab-and-go Speedmaster?
- Any regrets selling one or the other?

Curious what happened long term after the honeymoon phase wore off.

Ultra thin 1.75” body

Dual truss rod

Thumb lock tuners

Bone nuts/saddle

Cured in the Hawaiian sun with the unique Sydow carbon fiber resin process

Mi-Si battery-free preamp system (8 hours playing time on 1 minute charge)
