"Birth year" watch arrived! [7A28-7120]

I pulled the trigger on this RAF issued 7A28-7120. I just turned 40 and this is from 1986. Pretty happy with it. Historical movement for a milestone birthday.

I just turned 40 and was thinking of marking the occasion with a new watch (shocker). I don't yet have a chronograph so I was looking at the historic 7A28 movements that were in production then. Most seem to be from 82' or 83' EXCEPT the funky Giugiaro designed ones which I can find from my birth year of 1986. Ones in decent shape are in the $1000CAD~ range. Thoughts?

My gut says the bottom one. They're both about the same "out of flat" but it's not bad and their barrels don't have too much wear.
