Hey everyone,
I’m facing a bit of a crossroads and could use some advice from anyone who has successfully transitioned trading styles due to life changes.
The Background: I just got accepted into medical school. I’m absolutely taking the opportunity because I don’t want to risk hitting a losing streak in the markets later on and regretting turning down a stable career.
For the past 2 years, I’ve been consistently profitable in paper trading and have been trading my funded account for four months now, and have received a few payouts. I have a solid track record of data, but it’s entirely based on a scalping strategy.
The Problem: With the intense schedule of med school, scalping is going to be impossible. I need to switch to swing trading so I can manage my positions in the evenings or early mornings.
The issue is that my current scalping strategy is heavily time-based. Because of this, it completely falls apart if I try to scale it up to the daily or 4H charts.
My Question: Is my only real option here to build an entirely new strategy from scratch and spend months/years gathering new forward-test data for swing trading? Or is there a way to salvage the core logic of a time-based scalping strategy and adapt it for longer hold times?
If you've made the jump from ultra-low timeframes to higher timeframes because of a career/university, how did you do it without losing your edge?
Appreciate any insights or tough love you've got. Thanks!

Centre d'appele sm3t bli ghaykono layoffs bsbab anna france mn3at lcold calling?
Hey all, I'm a student, and I was planning on applying for a summer job at a call center, but I just heard that France is banning cold calling (sounds like the law kicks in around August 2026) and that this might cause call centers to start cutting staff.
Is this something to worry about, or should I not concern myself with that?
Salam everyone,
I'm preparing for the Bac, and I want to do as well as possible. I'd really appreciate hearing from people who got high grades (16+, 17+, 18+, or even better).
A few questions:
Also, if you have any tips that aren't commonly mentioned, I'd love to hear them.
