Hair

Has anyone reached the point where they just don’t recognize themselves in the mirror and are at the point of chopping off all their hair?!?!

I’m there right now! I have wavy hair under my shoulders/close to the top of my bra strap and am just finding it dry not holding the curl pattern and am seriously thinking of doing something drastic!! 😂😭😂😭😂😂

Discontinuing recruitment efforts

Received an email yesterday that the position I applied and had 3 interviews for was basically no longer being recruited for “due to changing business needs” the email says they are keeping my application on file should a similar opportunity become available.

What is the likelihood that would happen? I’m just trying to figure out realistically if I should actually be on the lookout for a call or email?

Thanks in advance!!

Second interview being scheduled.

Hi all! I just heard back that they would like to schedule the two 60 minute interviews for me after they saw my hirevue video.

I just wanted to know for a legal assistant position what type of questions get asked? I am well aware they want the answers in the STAR format but I’m just trying to think what kind of anecdotes to prepare with.

Thanks!

Any advice???

I am 39 and my mom who is 64 suggested maybe I was going through perimenopause about a year back when she would see me unfortunately snap at my kids and I didn’t give it much thought bc I thought “no way I’m too young and postpartum”. It wasn’t until my husband told me recently that a picture I sent him was the happiest I had looked in the longest time that I really began to look back and take stock of things. The biggest thing for me is that I had no sex drive/libido and honestly feel like I was in a fog just surviving day after day and I really don’t think I felt any joy for half a year. I really never wanted to do anything, go anywhere and didn’t even do the things I liked to do before.

I guess my biggest question is what do you all do not to go through a dark phase where you just become insular like I did? Do you just grit your teeth and just go to the parties and social activities or do you just feel your feelings till it gets better? I’m navigating how to do all this while being a mom to a 7 year old and 2 year old. I have made small changes by making sure to walk by myself every day, take magnesium supplements to help with my sleep and I cut down my alcohol consumption and don’t eat anything after 8pm and it seems to help but any advice, guidance or just knowing I’m not alone would feel super helpful.
