How do you feel about other selling platforms compare to selling on Ebay *Jewelry*

Hi! So I own a small family jewelry store and recently we’ve been getting an influx in of Estate Silver and Gold. We Have been experimenting with different platforms to see what works best for us but everyone seems to have different scary stories on Reddit. What’s your favorite platform to sell on? Here’s my thoughts and feedback so far

1)Selling off our website seemed safest for us but means relying totally off social media to sell

  1. whatnot - seems to be very seller friendly/protective of seller BUT a lot of people seem to be just hoping you don’t know what you have! And willing to sell it below melt/ or resellers themselves- which is not really what we’re looking for

  2. EBay - so far not bad BUT I’m hearing over and over again on Reddit that a lot of jewelers don’t bother with jewelry over $500 because of scamming issues

  3. FB Marketplace with in store pick up - ppl seem willing to travel if the piece is unique enough (they also like we are a brick and mortar with Gemologist on staff) - we’ve managed to sell a couple of good pieces that way but definitely far and few in between

Hi! We are a brick and mortar jewelry store that decided to try out whatnot! The first two shows we did, we did amazing. But by the time we got to our third show, we noticed a drop off. We did another show last night on Friday night same time, same set up, mix of items, price points everything. But did significantly less. We’ve been shipping everything out on time and although we only have a couple of reviews but the three that we do have are five star. We were even spending more money on the hourly boost. Could Whatnot have been artificially pushing us for our first couple shows and now it’s a little different? I was just wondering when everyone else’s experience was
