Chronic severe nosebleeds affecting job
Hello, I’ve had chronic SEVERE nosebleeds since I was a child. I remember getting sent home from school several times because the nurse couldn’t get it to stop. I am diagnosed with a blood clotting disorder, and my nosebleeds frequently last over an hour. I’ve gone to the ENT and had the same nostril cauterized 3 times in my life, the most recent one being about two years ago. I no longer have health insurance and cannot afford to pay out of pocket to get it cauterized again at the moment. I do not pick my nose because I know what will happen if I do, I’ve tried nasal sprays, vaseline, basically anything you can think of and nothing seems to help. I have a humidifier, I have packed my nose with gauze, tried leaning forwards, backwards, holding my nose, icing it, and literally nothing gets it to stop until it stops on its own. I bleed so much that I end up getting lightheaded and have passed out several times. It’s starting to affect my job because when this is happening I have to just sit in the bathroom or office and wait for it to stop and I believe it’s negatively affecting my manager’s opinion of me. If anyone has any advice or weird hacks to get a clot to form please let me know. Picture attached of my most recent nosebleed, lasted over an hour and I eventually just gave up and started bleeding into the toilet.
