nine days post cautery anxiety

hi, like the title says, i (23 F) had one nostril cauterized after a long nosebleed that landed me in the ER. i've always had nosebleeds but they have become quite rare for me after reaching adulthood, so this caught me completely by surprise, especially since i woke up to it. i have health anxiety to begin with, so i've been quite anxious throughout my recovery period about having a similar, awful bleed.

the instructions i received from the hospital were to moisturize my nose several times a day and to avoid straining etc. for a few days. i've followed the instructions and been quite careful, avoiding laying flat, picking and straining for a week. yesterday, i worked out for the first time and had no issues. i've had zero pain or bleeding post procedure, the only issues being discomfort from what i assume is a scab as well as from congestion. the area is a little tender but that is to be expected.

do i need this fear anymore at this point? the information on this varies significantly, and my country's instructions seem way less conservative than ones written in english. i would like to hear some feedback as well as comforting words if they seem fitting :'3

Nosebleeds in Clusters

Bit of a back story, I'm in my 30s now and a few times a year for most my life I would get nosebleeds. A number of nosebleeds for a day or 2 then nothing. Like a couple of days ago I had 4 nosebleeds in one day, each of them out of nowhere. I always have and only get nosebleeds from my left nostril. They are fast heavy flowing with clots, my nosebleeds go down my throat so I sometimes also spit out clots. Lasting 1 min to 20ish mins. They do make me feel a bit light headed and sick. Randomly throughout the year I would taste blood and think one is starting. Sometimes there was be some dry blood in my nose.

Probably about 4 years ago I went to the doctors about my nosebleeds as I had a bad spell and was worried it was something more. I felt silly to go to the doctors over this. They said I'm probably fine, ran some blood tests anyways and was told they came back normal. While I'm typing this I remembered about a couple of years ago my boyfriend did at home blood testing kits so I thought I'd give them a try. Did it, sent it away and didn't get results as my blood had thickened. I got a second try and still had the same issue so no results.

I have a headache disorder (unrelated to nosebleeds as it's just how my brain is wired). When I finally saw a neurologist 2 years ago and FINALLY got a diagnosis to get the help I needed after being dismissed by doctors. During that neurologist appointment she asked if there was anything else she needed to know and I mentioned my nosebleeds...she was horrified!! I said how I'd been to the doctors and they didn't think it was anything to worry about.

After having the 4 really bad heavy nosebleeds a couple of days ago it just all got my thinking again...

Anyone else in the some boat of getting nosebleeds for a day or 2 then nothing for months? Should I be worried?

Just to note, I'm not sick and I'm not aware of any triggers. It all feels random to me.

I've stopped cocaine and just wondering if my nose damage is to far gone to recover?

I've stopped cocaine and just wondering if my nose damage is to far gone to recover?

Is this the beginning of a hole in my nose? Can it still heal or am I screwed?

Video of the damage, how screwed am I?

Lingering inflammation after cauterization

Hi any thoughts on what might help or what might be wrong? Had my nose cauterized about 3 weeks ago after a bad nosebleed, but also had a bad cold. At first it felt okay but there is lingering pain and the doctor says it still looks inflamed. How long does this type of inflammation linger? any ideas on how to help it? Thank you.

Got a rhino rocket in this month at ER (the second time), and unlike the 48 wait the first time, it's more like 90 because the ENT can't see me until Monday. It's drying out - has anyone had luck with light saline spray? Can't get ahold of anyone and can't afford another ER visit.

I wasn't able to get any replies back yesterday from the ENT office, can't afford another run to ER, and getting slightly worried that when it's pulled out at this rate that it'll restart the bleed and we're back to square one. I was supposed to be getting my nose cauterized next time it came out, and if I have to have this for another few days I'm going to lose my mind. I saw a lot of recommendations online that a light saline spray is helpful just for the exterior a few times a day.

Current other issue is the antibiotics they gave me are causing diarrhea, so I'm dehydrated there but have been pounding hydration and electrolytes the last 48 hours and eating the BRAT diet which is slowly working. I'm worried it won't naturally re-hydrate the nostril in time.

Any experiences like this or ideas?

Do most people outgrow nosebleeds?

My daughter has been having fairly heavy nosebleeds and she was little. I've always assumed she would outgrow them. Is this a fair assumption?
