Does anyone know a good shop that has experience with DSM’s in Alberta? Looking at buying somebody’s 2.3 stroker build and getting it fully dialed in

Recently acquired this mint spec 1992 Talon TSI AWD all original never modified. It has 170k km and runs and drives good, however it has minor idle surge and high vibrations sometimes. New brakes all around, freshly rebuilt head and wheels were powder coated black. Reason for sale is I’m having second thoughts about building this car because of unreliable garage space and I’d like something more dependable given that. This beauty should go to a DSM veteran and be well preserved, located in Calgary Alberta. Looking for 9k CAD

I’m in a position where I could buy this mint 1992 Talon TSI AWD for 8k CAD. 175k km, bone stock never modified. All electrics work, was left to sit by the original owner before being bought by his neighbour (a mechanic who owns a shop) who rebuilt the head and threw on many new parts. It runs and drives good. He’s spent a good amount of money on new stuff. No rust at all. Where it gets shaky is that its maintenance history prior to his ownership is practically unknown, he’s unsure if the trans/clutch has ever been done but says it feels very nice. I’m brand new to this community and will need to do lots of research. If anyone can point out common faults and things to look for or what to replace immediately for reliability I’d love to hear it!
