Action 4 for a vlog? Good enough?

I have an Action 4 for climbing, hiking yet I am off to China for a city trip and want to do some vlogs without buying a new camera. I got a smallrig 1/4 black mist filer to soften up my image and added a bit of motion blur (mostly in post to allow my stabilisation to work better).

This was a practice vlog from my day out in London.

Please let me know what you think and if you have any feedback regarding settings/shot ideas or if I really do need a pocket camera.

UK limestone drop off

A nice 7B on the limestone, had a fun time working it, especially with the cut move!

Action 4 - Great running cam

A month ago I took my action out for a trail run and tried to capture some cool shots.

What can I do to get better footage?

I’ve had my Action 4 for a few months, and playing around with the settings has helped my footage improve a lot.

What can I do to make it look extra cinematic and professional? Weather that is to do with camera settings, framing of image or grading in post.

Settings:

D-Log M
Auto exposure
-0.7 EV
ISO 100–400
AWB
Sharpness -2 and noise reduction -1
2.7K (smaller file sizes), 30fps

I don’t have a laptop, so I have to do all my editing in Mimo/Instagram Edits, but I still try to do a bit of colour grading. This footage uses a LUT with a bit of grading done by me as well.

I either film with a tripod like this or use a helmet cam for roped climbing.

- Raw DLog M is higher
- Graded is lower

My dad and I went up Tryfan Bach last weekend, 3 easy pitches, minimal gear needed, great experience. Highly recommend for a first lead.
