Why does Moynihan claim he was guilty? Everything I’ve read suggests he was innocent. Or at the least there is no evidence tying him to the crime.

I’m looking for people who work in corporate treasury or investment management/research/banking who covers bank clients.

My question to you, what is the economic value of repositioning securities portfolios out of low coupon, high duration securities into on the run, higher coupon ones. I get that you take a loss on exchange for higher NII, but is there any real value created? Does the analyst/investor community actually think it’s a positive?
