Decadence CO Reviews?

Friends were talking about going this year, but curious about a few things for those who have been:

  1. How is the crowd size? Is it easy to get around and get through crowds?
  2. Are there good water stations, inside temps, places to sit, bathrooms, etc.?
  3. How are the sound systems, production, and other types of activities outside of the sets?

Thanks!

Waited to post, but as a first timer EF 26 was the BEST fest I've ever been to!

I've been to about 14 other fests, ranging from 1-5 days and a combo of EDM, rock, metal, jam, funk, pop, and indie. I can say with certainty that EF was the coolest festival experience of my life. It helped having nearly perfect weather and my good friends with me, but regardless, everything about the fest itself was wonderful.

A billion activities, so many hangout areas, incredible stages, beautiful visuals, incredibly kind/fun people, and despite 50,000 people, I felt like I could still get around pretty easily (besides a few huge sets and the evacuation). No other festival I've experienced felt so comfortable hanging out, going to hype sets, chill sets, big sets, small sets, silent disco, playing games, looking at art, etc. I totally understand why people return every year, regardless of crazy price points.

I left feeling so great, and while seeing the news doesn't change my personal experience, it's really sad to watch people weaponize the community against itself. Especially when some were already rooting for the festival to fail after this year's tragedies.

Regardless, I am SO excited to return every year for the foreseeable future!

West & West Coast Festivals Similar to Electric Forest or Hulaween?

Medium to slightly larger festivals that combine EDM and/or live bands out West (Southwest and places like Colorado) and West Coast that have beautiful grounds, late night performances, and a generally positive reception.

Will likely be moving there in a year or so and would love some decent alternatives if they exist. Thanks!

New Years Eve Festivals/Shows?

My friends and I are looking to go to a one-or two-day festival and/or shows around NYE. Lights All Night seems decent, but looking for more options.

I'm in Poor Physical Shape, Suggestions to Best Enjoy My Time?

Been REALLY struggling to reduce weight and get my steps in. Still have just over a month, which can certainly help with energy and feeling better, but I haven't been in such poor shape before going to a fest like this in the past.

What would you guys recommend I do in advance, but especially items to bring or proper levels of break time at the fest itself. I love to dance and party but worry about how much I will have the energy to do it consistently feeling comfortable in my own skin.

Thanks y'all!

Glad They Cancelled, Three Sisters Park Needs a Replacement

NOT happy for those who still wanted to go. I love SCAMP, but regardless of the will of some to push forward it was unsafe, lackluster, and likely to cause a ton of issues.

I am happy that the festival owners are being held accountable for their failures. I understand festival logistics are a NIGHTMARE. But at the end of the day, to barely communicate, shame people for criticism, underdeliver and overpromise, lose the support of many vendors, fail to obtain proper licenses due to safety concerns, and fail to produce ANYTHING resembling a solid festival, I don't feel sorry for them.

The right thing was to cancel months ago when they couldn't pull it together. Now they are doing it only because they have to.

I REALLY hope we get a new EDM/Jam fest at Three Sisters Park in the future. Not run by Ian Goldberg EVER again. SCAMP is dead under his leadership. Maybe we can get something smaller-scale or with a wider audience. The venue is beautiful, and it would be a shame if it were only used for country and rock fests in the future.

Goodbye SCAMP (god if we get refunds it will be a miracle)
