Decadence CO Reviews?

Friends were talking about going this year, but curious about a few things for those who have been:

  1. How is the crowd size? Is it easy to get around and get through crowds?

  2. Are there good water stations, inside temps, places to sit, bathrooms, etc.?

  3. How are the sound systems, production, and other types of activities outside of the sets?

Thanks!

Is Hulaween Everything Bonnaroo Used to Be? on The What Podcast

Is Hulaween everything Bonnaroo used to be? We put the question to John, our EDM and jam-scene correspondent, and his answer says a lot about how both festivals have changed.

John makes the case for Hulaween, String Cheese Incident's own festival at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park, where the daily lineups just dropped. We get into what makes it different from Bonnaroo: the jam-forward lineup with an electronic edge, the six-hour String Cheese / My Morning Jacket / STS9 runs, and the secret sets where anyone might sit in: Goose turning up to play with Cheese, that kind of unplanned magic. It leads to a real conversation about whether Bonnaroo's special moments have started to feel scheduled instead of spontaneous, and John doesn't hold back, including some honest thoughts on this year's very EDM-heavy Thursday.

Plus: John recaps his own Bonnaroo 2026 (great, but different, and quieter than years past), we looks ahead to ShoalsFest October 3-4 in Alabama, CaveFest at The Caverns October 10-11, and take a look at the surprisingly free EDM lineup at our own River Games in Chattanooga.

This episode is also available on SpotifyApple Podcasts, or wherever you get podcasts! If you struggle with attention span, there are timestamps in the description so you can jump to specific sections and we regularly post short form video clips of the podcast to TikTok and Instagram Reels!

The What Podcast is the longest-running and highest-rated weekly video podcast covering Bonnaroo and the broader music festival scene! Hosted by Barry Courter and Bryan Stone, two music industry veterans, the show started in 2018 as a celebration of everything Bonnaroo. Since then, it has grown to explore North America's festival landscape and the touring industry at large. Join Barry and Bryan each week for insider stories, behind-the-scenes insights, and the latest news from the world of live music.

What should I know going into the Mid-Autumn Festival?

I just very recently heard about the festival going on in center city next month, and I'm very interested in attending, however I have next to zero knowledge of what goes on outside of the traditional dances. I feel like I should definitely know since this will be my first date with the girl that I'm talking with.

SSBD FEST!

SSBD is my all time favorite festival! I’ve been to over 30 different festivals and this one is my top. Amazing vibes, great weather, a lake to swim and float in with a stage. No over lapping sets.

Take a festival wristband off without harming it

Hey all, so I got my wrist band to go to a festival recently, this is my first time going to anything like this. So I decide to try the wrist band on and learn that apparently festivals use a lock to make sure you don't scam them. So now I can't get it off. Is there anyway to get it off without breaking it, I really don't want to have to pay for a replacement. Y'all can call me an idiot or whatever in the comments idc I just need help.

As title states. I’m part of the crew that runs badger music and arts festival in Hartsel Colorado.

Guys is this a scam?

I did enter the giveaway on their insta like a week or two ago, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has been contacted by this festival giveaway or has been scammed by them before. Thanks!

RV camping elements and fest alike

Is there any services out there that would just set up an RV for a festival and all you need is to pick up the key?

Would it be better to try to set up renting an RV closer to the festival or might as well rent from where you are driving from since you will have to figure out where to store your car if you picked up closing to the festival.

Anyone done this, worth it?

BAND SPOTLIGHT: Benighted (France) – Presenting Their New Album! 🇫🇷

Hey everyone! Time for our next lineup deep-dive, and this one's a big one — closing out Saturday, October 10th, on The Inferno stage: the merchants of madness themselves, BENIGHTED!

These French deathgrind veterans have been terrorizing stages since 1998, and they show zero signs of slowing down. Off the back of their tenth album Ekbom (2024) — named after the real-life delusional parasitosis syndrome, because of course it is — the band has kept the chaos rolling with a lineup shake-up and a brand new single, "The Spineless Freak," which also marks the live debut of new drummer Matthias Biechler behind the kit.

The Quick Breakdown:

  • Day: Saturday, October 10th, 2026
  • Origin: France 🇫🇷
  • Genre: Brutal Death Metal / Deathgrind
  • For Fans Of: Aborted, Cattle Decapitation, Ingested
  • Lineup: Julien Truchan (vocals), Emmanuel Dalle (guitars), Pierre Arnoux (bass), Matthias Biechler (drums)

Why you cannot miss this set: Benighted don't just play brutal death metal — they weaponize it with theatrical, almost cinematic horror storytelling, blending pig-squeal vocals, blast-beat carnage, and a genuinely unsettling sense of humor that's kept them at the top of the French extreme metal scene for over two decades. With a new drummer bringing fresh violence to the kit and a new single already tearing through the underground, this Saturday closer is shaping up to be one of the most unhinged sets of the whole festival.

💬 Have you caught Benighted live before? What's your pick from Ekbom, or are you more of an Icon-era purist? Drop your thoughts below!

Crash Landing Music Festival

This is Crash Landing Music Festival in Hillsboro, OR. Hosted at an airplane home in the middle of the woods.
This place has an amazing story to it including the owner of the property planting and regrowing the entire forest on his land himself. The moral of the story though is follow your dreams… especially if that dream is dragging a Boeing 727 into the forest, rebuilding it, and converting it into a home.

We Out Here Festival 2026 - Woov App alternative

Hi all, WOH first timer here!

Excited for it, I saw a post/comment about an alternative to the woov app or a full timetable that can accessed off line.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I can't seem to find it again.

Looking forward to the weekend.
