Meet Sephira! Guess I'm a beardie mum now, her story is in the post
I've flared it as help and advice because all is welcome! Ive owned snakes, bugs, shrimp and fish but never a lizard.
I'm thinking little lady is a citrus, about 3 years old. Her tank is a temporary set up due to her becoming an unplanned addition.
My friends have many dragons, and were shopping on market place for more tanks for their eagerly awaited babies in their incubator. When a listing came up of a tank going cheap.
On arrival they realise there is a poor, barely responsive dragon. The explanation provided was that the seller's son had moved out and dragon and tank had been shoved into the shed with no heat lamp or food for 2 years. How she'd survived I had no clue. Armed with a new name by my friends daughter, Sephira was touch and go for a while. And also taking up a tank in a house that was already a few tanks short of dragons.
But she pulled through, and each shed she has just popped with colour! My friends didn't have the room for her, but I couldn't bear the thought of her risking going to another bad home.
And so. Now I guess I'm a beardie mum! My beloved orange cat loves the new friend and I'm sitting here making a feeding schedule for the week of bugs and insects while sorting her a far bigger, wooden enclosure with caves and basking platforms.
