The Thrill Podcast is back! 🥊🎙️

The Thrill Podcast is back! 🥊🎙️

After about a 7-month break, I wanted to bring the podcast back with a bigger focus on the people who make Thrill of the Fight 2 what it is — the community.

For the first episode back, I sat down with Sib from Aussie VR Boxing to talk about his experience with Thrill, the Aussie VR Boxing community, VR boxing vs. real boxing, the future of single player, esports, and some of the things we’d love to see added to the game.

The idea behind the podcast going forward is simple: bring on different members of the Thrill community, get to know the people behind the usernames, and give them a place to share their stories, opinions, and ideas.

Would love to hear what you guys think and who you’d like to see on next! 🥊

First time hitting the bag in 3 months. I broke my right hand and now finally testing it with impact!

I’m posting this here because for three months I was still able to VR box which is pretty amazing that I could still work the skill with zero impact.
Another great perk to our game💪

The Thrill of the Fight 2

Patch Notes

Physics

- Much better hit registration in single player
- Parry his punches and deflect his arms
- Single player only at this stage, multiplayer to follow

AI

- Completely overhauled animations across the board with more to come - much more realistic
- Feint System added
- Stamina System: punching, blocking and dodging cost him energy. As he runs down he gets sloppier and can do less before running out of gas

Clinch

- Ducking down and spamming clinches is penalised much faster
- Warning on the first foul, point deduction on the second

Sparring Mode

- Choose your venue!

Fixes

- Knocked-down fighters no longer spin their head on the way down
- Knockdown pose no longer sticks into the next round in multiplayer

And we're not done. Visual damage is still being worked on, and there are more AI improvements on the way.

This is the Public Test Channel, so we want your feedback. Test the update, let us know what feels good, what doesn't, and help us continue fine-tuning the game.

Join our Discord and type !PTC for instructions and the full patch notes.

New AI Animations – 3-Minute Outclassed Round Preview

A quick peek behind the scenes at some of the newest AI animation upgrades we’ve been working on, shown through a full 3-minute round on Outclassed difficulty.

One thing we really want to continue doing as a development team is being transparent about what we’re working on and letting you see things while they’re still being developed. Your feedback genuinely helps shape where we focus our time and how these systems evolve.

What you’re seeing here could potentially make its way into the PTC as soon as this week. Would love to hear what stands out to you and what you’d like to see improved!

3 Simple Combos That Land MORE in VR Boxing 🥊

After nearly 100 straight days of fighting 12–24 rounds a day in VR boxing, I’ve learned that sometimes the simplest combinations are the most effective. 🥊

Connection, distance, and how your opponent reacts can all affect whether that first punch lands—so don’t always rely on a single shot.
In this video, I break down three simple combinations that consistently work for me:

🥊 Double jab
🥊 Body jab → head jab
🥊 Jab → cross (the classic 1–2)

The first punch might miss, close distance, or force a reaction—but it can set up the second shot to land clean. You don’t need complicated combinations to be effective. Sometimes doubling up and sticking to the basics is exactly what you need.

Another short tip! 🫡 Disguise Your Offense with Active Guard and Head Movement

A predictable boxer is an easy boxer to counter. In this video, I break down how to disguise your offense by combining an active guard with constant head movement. Learn how small defensive movements can hide your intentions, make your attacks harder to read, and create safer openings to land clean shots.

These techniques work whether you’re training in The Thrill of the Fight 2 or sharpening your real-world boxing fundamentals. By staying defensively responsible while attacking, you’ll become much harder to time and counter.
If you’re looking to improve your VR boxing skills and overall boxing IQ, this is a technique you’ll want to add to your game.

Proper Rolling Technique in VR Boxing: Avoid Head Drops

One of the most common mistakes in VR boxing: dropping your head too low when rolling. Without a physical opponent in front of you, it’s easy to develop bad habits that can hurt your defense—and with stricter enforcement, intentional head drops could even result in point deductions.

I cover why keeping your eyes on your opponent is so important, how to roll correctly by squatting with your legs, creating a smooth U-shaped movement with your head, and why bending at the waist causes your head to enter your opponent’s space.

Master this fundamental defensive technique and you’ll move more efficiently, stay in better position, and avoid costly mistakes in the ring.

Peak at visual damage! ( work in progress)

I don’t want us to seem super silent about the things that we’re working on so I asked for a screenshot to show off where we are!
A lot of work to be done, but I didn’t wanna keep you in the dark so here’s a quick sneak peek!
