make up artist

How far out from the wedding is too late to pick a makeup artist? I am struggling to find one and I have plenty of time, but I wonder how late is too late?

DIY for my wedding

I have started to work on DIY things I can do for my wedding, and my family loves doing DIY for party's that we throw. So I am getting very excited, but the only thing I am worried about it that we won't have enough time to set everything up before the wedding. We have 3 hours before the ceremony starts to do our first look and take pictures. Now at the venue I have a lot of help that day, and people who will setting everything up, but do they help with the littles things? Like the DIY products that I brought into the venue.

Also is it common for brides to drop off everything the day before? I was thinking about asking my coordinator things, but I didn't know if that was normal or not.

Save the dates and RSVP - need help

I’m about to send out my save-the-dates, and I decided to do traditional paper save-the-date cards. For RSVPs, though, I’m planning to go digital so guests can simply click a link and respond online. It feels like the easiest option for everyone.

One thing I’m worried about is people not RSVPing closer to the wedding date. I’ve heard horror stories about guests just showing up without responding or bringing a date when they weren’t given a plus-one.

Does anyone have any tips for handling this, or should I just hope for the best? 😂

I’m planning to have an RSVP deadline 10 weeks before the wedding. If someone hasn’t RSVP’d by that deadline, they won’t be able to attend. I’m planning to stick to that rule for everyone, including family.

What's next?

I think I’ll have my venue picked by next week, so I’m trying to figure out what the next steps in wedding planning usually are. I really want to start wedding dress shopping, but I’ve had multiple people tell me I should buy my wedding shoes first so I know what heel height I want and how long the dress should be.

I already have a few shoe brands/styles in mind, but now I’m second guessing if I should wait before dress shopping. Did you buy your shoes before your dress, or did you find your dress first and figure the shoes out later? Also, after booking your venue, what vendors or planning steps did you prioritize next?

Dream Venue Tours This Weekend — What Questions Should I Be Asking?

This weekend I’m touring my dream wedding venues and I really want to make sure I’m prepared. What are the questions I need to ask during tours?

I already have a notebook ready to take notes and lock things down, but I’m honestly so nervous. I really love this place and I know I’ll be really disappointed if it doesn’t work out.

Any advice on what I should look out for or ask about that people usually forget?
