Home Depot sale + coupon = x430 for $1899

I received a Home Depot flyer in the mail with a 10% off coupon and no-interest-for-one-year financing for any HD credit card purchase over $299. So last night, I ordered an x430 for $2099-10% = $1899. Not sure I'm going to find a better deal than that!

Got my refund from HD

Home Depot is offering the same sale for the x430 as Navimow and Amazon, and I purchased my x430 on June 2nd, so I called (well, actually did a live chat) and requested the price match, and got my refund immediately. Nice to drop that price by $400!

Anybody else get money back today also?

I think I can, I think I can

I missed the first minute or so of our x430's determined battle with the culvert in our front yard, but thought some of you might find this little clip amusing. It was on its second or third perimeter pass at that point and was apparently adamant that it could conquer that grass (and mostly did, on that far side, at least - if it did the passes in the opposite direction once in awhile, I might not have to string trim that area at all!). Oh well - gave me a good chuckle, just wish I had captured more of the battle on camera!

Cord to charging base?

We're expecting our x430 (our first robot mower) in a couple of days and I've seen that the charging base needs to be at least 6' away from buildings and tall trees. Do any of you have the electrical cord running from your house across a section of lawn that you would normally mow? How do you get around this in terms of not having the mower mow over the cord? And do you just use a trimmer to deal with grass in that area? We don't really have a location that would allow it to dock without the cord crossing a section of grass. There is one possible location near a retaining wall, but it would be right in front of our house facing the street...not sure we want to have it sitting somewhere quite so public. We are pretty rural, and trust our neighbors, and we do have a Ring camera, but it feels a bit uncomfortable to put it right there.

Curious what others have done with the charging cord/mowing map when the cord has needed to cut across grass to get to the base?

One-year tattoo 😊

I celebrated one year with my new kidney last Wednesday 🥰 - and to celebrate, my daughter and I got matching kidney wrist tattoos. For those who don't know my story - this is my second kidney transplant, first was in 1989 (deceased donor), so it lasted 36 years, and this new kidney came through the paired exchange process. My daughter's kidney went to someone else, so another person's kidney could come to me.

I had big elaborate plans for a kidney-and-flowers tattoo that commemorated all three of my donors, but decided I wasn't ready to make that big of a plunge right now. So I have a simple tattoo on my wrist, and then I plan to do flowers that represent each of my donors over the respective incisions at a later time. ❤️
