jtexpress.tokyo ervaring?

Books about Kemalism

I am looking for a book that’s gives you more insight in how kemalism is created, why it’s created and what it is.

I don’t know if this subreddit is the right place for it to ask😅

The blossom Hibiya or sequence miyashita park shibuya

Hello (again),

This will be the last post about me asking for hotel recs and advice. Its all overwhelming ;(

I am flying to Japan in 3 weeks with my sister and still cant decide on whichhotel I should book. I felt like The Blossom Hibiya but I also found the sequence miyashita park in Shibuya. At first I had a list of 6 but now I managed to narrow it down to these 2.

Which hotel would you reccomend more? It is both are first time and we are in our twenties

We looking for comfort, place close to station and great transportation options and night life (not clubbing everyday but also after the last train just walking around, grab food and maybe shop).

Blossom Hibiya Tokyo

Hello!

After searching I finally found a hotel that I liked. The Blossom Hibiya Superieur Twin room.

I was reading some reviews and people are writing about bad cleaning, stains on the walls (poop/vomit) and there is a really bad smell in the room that smells like body odour.

For people who did go here, how did you experience this hotel?

Hello! I posted a month ago with a question about which hotel would be best, so here’s a small recap.

This summer, I’m going to Japan with my sister for two weeks. Our journey starts in Osaka, then Kyoto, and ends in Tokyo, where we’ll be staying for 9 nights.

Our hotels for Osaka and Kyoto are already booked and paid for, but I’m still unsure about Tokyo. Right now, I have 4 hotels booked, but they can still be cancelled before a certain date.

The hotels are:

  • JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Shinjuku – Superior Twin Room with 2 separate beds, 25 m2 – €1840
  • Villa Fontaine Grand Shiodome – Deluxe Room with 2 separate beds, 30 m², separate bath and toilet – €1722
  • Nohga Hotel Akihabara – Twin Room with 2 separate beds and shower, 21 m² – €1802
  • The Blossom Hibiya Shimbashi – Superior Twin Room with 2 separate beds, 25m2 – €1630

I think we’ll spend a lot of time in Shibuya, Akihabara, Shinjuku, Harajuku and Ikebukuro. From what I found online, the trains usually run until around midnight. Sometimes taking a taxi at night is fine, but not every time, because it can get expensive.

Things we’re looking for in a hotel, in no particular order:

  • Convenience and commuting are really important. There should be places to eat within walking distance, and the hotel should be well connected to different areas in Tokyo. It would also be nice if it’s convenient for a day trip to Kamakura.
  • Easy access to Narita Airport for our flight back, either by train or limousine bus.
  • The area should not be too busy, but also not too quiet at night. A lively atmosphere is nice, with options to eat or drink after midnight, like a bar, restaurant, arcade/clawmachine, shopping or somewhere nice for a late-night walk. But we don’t want too much tourist chaos.
  • A separate shower and bathtub. We really don’t like it when they’re combined.
  • 2 separate beds.
  • Laundry options, either washing machines or a laundry service.
  • Room size is important. Since we’ll have luggage, a very small room would be difficult for 9 nights.
  • Optional: a nice city view from the window.

Which of these 4 hotels would you recommend? Or do you have any other recommendations within the same price range? I was looking for Shibuya (which was the preffered area but its to expensive for the hotels we like. It’s really difficult to choose!
