Pistol Decision?

Greeting All!

My character is level 9. I have been running around with a level 10 Standard Pistol and the other night I found Drake's Double-Barreled Pistol. I don't remember if I found it as a level 5 or if I raised it to a level 5 the other night before I ran out of cash.

I'm wondering if it'd be worth it to toss the standard and raise the Drake instead, with intent to Ascend it in the future? Or to toss the Drake's and run with the Standard.

What's throwing me off is that the Drake's has "C" rating while the Standard has an "A" rating.

Question for Brig owners

I just built my brig.

I have like 30 gold, but maybe 70 silver...and of course, the exchange rate is terrible.

If you too were low on cash at this point, did you all start off by moving your cannons and boarding party stuff and gull reinforcement from your ketch over to your brig... until you had enough money to buy the better stuff? Or did you raid with the ketch some more to raise funds first?

Switching ammo?

Is there some quick way to switch from one kind of ammo to another? (Say, iron bullets / balls to copper ones?) Some way to do it mid-fight? I need a quick way to switch, especially if I run out of whatever's slotted.

Greetings All!

I'm trying to build a large house where on the exterior surfaces, I can create this sort of "outer beam accent effect" that you see in these photos / in old European / fantasy houses.

I had THOUGHT that I could just place plaster walls and then try adding vertical and horizontal beams, but the beams want to snap into the INTERIOR of walls.

I thought perhaps turning of snapping would work for me... that I could then position one beam "out" a few inches... and then the others would snap to it. But turning off snapping doesn't seem to actually DO anything.

I realize that there's a sort of rock/beam wall piece that is provided, but I don't like the rock part of it. I'd rather have this plain or stucco outer surface.

Thanks!
