Lipstick plant
I think out of all my plants this one is the happiest. It was a rescue and was down to a small stick with a dozen leaves maybe. My wife likes to put the sad ones under the sink but I rescued this one!

There’s a few Cooper’s hawks and marsh hawks squawking from sun up to sun down in my neighborhood. This guy has been hanging out in my backyard for a few weeks. He finally got brave enough to take a dip.
My z3 developed a p1525 which provided a checklist pinpointed to troubleshoot the Vanos solenoid. The oil level was perfect, I removed and cleaned the solenoid and electrical contacts, and I verified the piston activated when introducing 12 volts. I put everything back together and cleared the code.
The next trip after doing this it the CEL came back after about 10 miles with codes P1525 and P1519. It says replace the solenoid. Before dropping upwards to $500 for a part I may not need, just reaching out to more knowledgeable bmw owners to see if I need to check something else.
The car does not idle rough or operate funny with the CEL on, just a noticeable loss of the variable valve timing.
Thanks
Does this add to the provenience of the piece? Here’s MGS long box I bought from the bookstore in 2013. I think 7.95 was high back then 🤣
Here’s my repost of my eBay pickup. Paid 400 plus shipping but I live in a CRT desert. I used to sell electronics at Sears way back in the early 00s and owned many 27-36 Sony wegas and never paid over 50 bucks so I consider this exorbitant purchase a wash lol. Nothing special about this decision except I thought the seller would’ve packaged it better :( now I can optimally enjoy my retro systems.
Paid more than I’d like to share from eBay and came in all busted up :( oh well happy birthday to me anyway.
You guys know when you hand wash and wax a vehicle you see all the imperfections? Well I finally hand washed my titanium after the roof got repaired and I think it looks worse than before. There’s three small dents on the passenger side pillar where I guess they were mashing too hard to pop it back in because the driver side sticks out about a quarter of an inch above the hood and there is what I think looks like orange peel on the clear coat on the driver side pillar. There’s also a small dent on the front quarter panel but it’s hard to see. I had none of this before taking in it to repair. Am I overreacting here? What would you do? It’s been nearly two months since the fix.
Anyone have an estimate on how much money I’ve saved by doing it all myself? :) I still need to do fix my oil and power steering leaks, transmission fluid change and upgrade the cooling system components. Then on to suspension. Oh and I haven’t even washed it and waxed it yet! Does it ever end? :)
Please make an effort to do things correctly out there. This shouldn’t be an acceptable excuse.
