2011 Nissan titan SV Cold air intake mod

i’ve got a 2011 nissan titan crew cab, short bed, 2 wheel drive. I was looking to add a cold air intake mod to improve fuel economy and overall engine performance. Any thoughts, recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated and welcomed

Thoughts/insights?

I bought a 2016 Nissan frontier two years ago, I love the truck but I’ve been kinda kicking myself for not going for a full size ever since. I’ve got a 2.5 yo and possibly another baby in the future, so cabin space is a big part of it, and having a full size bed would be great.

Anywho, obviously I’d be upside down on the frontier as I still owe more than the trade in value. But with all that factored in the estimated monthly payment is almost exactly what I’m paying now, so theoretically I could get a newer, bigger truck with fewer miles (frontier is at 119k) for the same monthly cost.

I don’t really have strong opinions on the trim package, I like the nicer wheels on SV and up, but at the end of the day I just want a reliable truck that I can maintain myself like I’ve been doing with the frontier, just bigger.

So, sorry for the novel, but any thoughts or insight would be appreciated. TIA

Exhaust setups

I have a 2008 titan and I wanna put a new muffler on just to make it a bit louder. I currently just have the stock everything. I’m just nervous about buying one that makes it to to loud so just wanted to see if anyone in the group has done a setup.

Just a heads up to my Nissan Titan brothers out there. I have 2021 and when I would hard accelerate I had a vibration that made me worry that I had a driveline issue or something, my truck only has 50k miles on it so I finally got under it and gave her a once over… it was the exhaust heat covers.lol

Tri Fold Bed Cover Recommendations

Picking up a '24 P4X later this month, and will have to travel with tools and equipment on occasions. Im struggling to find any reputable or quality folding bed covers. As much as the installation was an abject nightmare, the Rough Country one i installed on my '14 Frontier P4X has become my go to brand. But they dont make that version for Titans.

If anyone has any good recommendations, please let me know.

Rattling Nosie

Hey everyone. Looking for some guidance before I head to the shop. I have a 24 Pro 4x 17k miles. When I’m driving there is an occasional rattle from what sounds like some piece(s) of metal on metal. It also sounds like it’s coming from the underbody.

For the life of me I cannot figure out what the heck it is. It’s not a consistent rattle. Usually it’s when I start driving for a few minutes, then it stops. Anyone have any ideas? Truck still has warranty.

New to me 21’ Titan XD

Always wanted a 18’-21’ tundra but that Toyota tax was something I wasn’t willing to pay for. Never thought about the Titan until I did. The XD has everything I want. I’m not towing much but I will load it down with tools since ill be driving it for work and a daily driver. Coming from an 07’ Chevy Silverado this Titan has some pep!

Removable Truck Bed Plugs?

Are these plugs pictured removable? I tried to pry one up and it felt like it was molded to the plastic cover situation that lines the top of the truck bed.

And if removable, what would you mount there? Could you build and mount a bed rack that doesn’t impede a hard tonneau cover?

Exhaust options for the 2024 Titan

Had an ‘04 for about 8 years and loved that truck. I had the Diamond Eye 3.5in Catback on it, and it sounded amazing. Does anyone know if Diamond Eye made a catback for the 15+ models, or what’s everyone running now?

Blacked Out XD?

Was there ever a blacked out option for the 2024 XD Platinum reserve? Looks like it came out of texas. I need to go see it in person to get an idea of whether everything is just wrapped black or if it was replaced with parts from a different trim level truck. Any eagle eyed folks on here that can tell me if this was ever an option, if it looks like the grill from another trim?

Image of the roof seam repair.

Here are the images of each side of my roof rail repair. You can see how now the sealer/welds are closer to the rear of the cab. Both sides were previously a few inches further away and not as clear. Job took several visits and was finally repaired under factory warranty. They outsourced the repair to a local body shop, they broke the brackets for the rear window so dealer installed a new replacement. The entire process from first visit to final completion about 2 months, 3 initial visits then the repair then the repair of the repair.

Work needed?

2012 Nissan Titan Pro-4X Crew Cab.. Was changing my oil and noticed this build up of residue. What do we think? I can try to do most things myself but don’t really have troubleshoot knowledge. Thanks 🙌🏽

Just hit 138K and I’m trying to make sure to keep this guy for 300k.

Replaced clock spring assembly, now have abs grind and traction control light on - help appreciated

My airbag light was flashing and the manual shift stopped working on my 2014 Titan Crewcab 4x4 S (160k miles). Replaced the clock spring assembly. The manual shift issue resolved, but the airbag light continued to flash. I performed the reset sequence by cycling the ignition on and off three times. This resolved the airbag flashing.

Started driving and had two or three ABS grinding sounds right as I started driving and the traction control light flashed, then stayed on. Drove a few miles on a short errand. The traction control stayed on, but no ABS issue above 35 mph. I turned off the truck, let it sit about 20 minutes, drove back home. It did the same thing.

About 1/2 mile from home, I noticed the temp gauge rising toward hot. It’s over 100 today, but that’s not typical.

I thought maybe since the battery was disconnected for awhile while I replaced the clock spring assembly and I performed the computer reset, it might take a little driving to relearn.

But this seems abnormal. Any ideas on what the problem is and the solution?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Fuel additives or treatment?

Do any of you guys run seafoam or any other cleaning agents in your trucks to help with the carbon build up, or would the catch can be the best option?

What part fell off of my dad’s truck?

2023 Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve, only 21,000 miles.
The truck was in my driveway all afternoon and after he left I noticed this spring laying where it was parked

2017 with 117k

Very intrigued and interested in a used titan. I’ve got my eye on two, both 2017 one with 98k and one with 117k. Priced around 14k at used dealerships with pretty good carfax on both. I work from home so I don’t daily much, maybe every other day drive somewhere. Will do truck things for the yard and take this kids around town. Thoughts? Should I be concerned with 100k used?

Picked this SV up on Sat, have a couple questions

I bought this 2021 SV 4x4 for $27k out the door (80kmiles).
The tires probably only have a few more thousand miles on them, any recommendations for size that works on the stock wheel with an all-terrain tire? Also, I will be towing a track car with it at times, my last couple trucks were 3/4 ton truck that had all-terrains. Considering this is a 1/2 ton, am I better off not using an All-terrain? I will be doing some light off roading at times and occasionally at race tracks they make you stick your trailer is some muddy field. So thats why I want the A/T tires...also they just look better.

Looks like 275/70 is probably the biggest option for the stock wheel size. Anyone using that size, any clearance issue?

Second...tow mirrors. The stock SV mirrors are tiny and don't telescope. I assume there are some upgrades from other trim models that work on the SV. Does the XD mirror bolt up and work, any aftermarket options that are proven?
