I have a 2021 Titan I have talked about several times before on this community. I seriously considered selling it at the time when the transmission went out a few months ago but I ultimately have decided to keep it, at least until the warranty expires in November.
I pull a 7200 lb trailer that is a little heavy on the tongue about once per month and I just did my first big tow with it recently. It pulls well and seems to hold 65 miles per hour without a lot of stress and got about 8 miles per gallon doing it.
However, there is 1 issue. It absolutely SQUATS the rear leaf springs onto the bumpstops. I have a couple of ideas. Either A, upgrade to a Pro4X leaf spring that has a slightly higher rear weight capacity OR go air bags.
I'm not sure which one is better for the cost or the money but I was wondering if others had similar experiences with this type of situation. Plus with the chance of letting it go later in the year, I am not sure I should put anymore money in the truck than needed. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks.
Have a Tacoma love it but it’s too small. Tundras have not depreciated as much as a titans so I’m consider one, any known issues with them on high mileage ones?
Was just driving very slow in a camp site and after hitting a speed bump, all these malfunctions came up.
The engine and transmission are running fine though. Is this an electrical issue? Where should I start?
I've been looking for either a DIY or bought fishing rod holders for my 2021 Titan Sv. I see a lot of the store bought stuff doesn't work with the rail system. Does anyone have some that work with the rail system or has anyone made their own? I appreciate the time.
2018 Nissan titan with 173,000mile rack pinion when out. What else should I replace when change it out. When should the belt be replaced?
Hi all,
I picked up an 2008 with the “big tow” package recently. The previous owner had already replaced the radiator. My question is, should the bypass still be done to prevent contamination, or is this resolved with an updated radiator design?
I have been battling the rear seatbelts on my titan for 2 months. This is the 3rd new one I put in and it keep repeating the same thing.
The seatbelt fits perfect, it’s just once you use it, it starts to lock in place and you have to take apart the entire trim just to unlock it. This is the third seatbelt and they all have done the same thing. I have no idea what is happening.
Any suggestions? 😅
I've got a 2012 Titan SV with 180k miles on it. Decided to go ahead and replace the OEM radiator and while at it, the water pump and thermostat too. Water pump and thermostat were no problem. I have the radiator mostly installed and transmission cooler mounted back up just fine. The problem I've run into is the A/C condenser. I have the pegs in all the way on the radiator but when I go to install the mounting brackets, they're off by almost a half inch. I feel like the mounting slots on the radiator may be bent more at an upward angle just enough to not allow the brackets to line up with the radiator. Anyone else experience something similar?
2004 crew cab 4x4, front bench seat.
Got in the truck one day and found this piece on drivers floor, kinda under the pedals. Everything seems to work, tilt, pedal adjust, seat slide and recline, shifter, e-brake. Assumption is it dropped from under the dash, but maybe not, could have been kicking around the floor for who knows how long.
Any ideas?
I have a 2018 Titan with 120k miles. Developed the C7 knock a bit ago.
Some techs told me they honestly haven’t seen the issue actually lead to engine failure, but the short block is the proper repair.
I have an extended warranty, but I’d still be out of pocket about $6k-$7k on a 8 year old truck.
Truck is otherwise in decent shape.
Would you spend $6k-$7k on a short block at this mileage? Does a new short block meaningfully extend the life of the truck?
Appreciate opinions.
As soon as I did the car started squealing and became very rigid and tight, I’m assuming it needs to slip properly. But even then it should work normally no?
New to me 23 Titan. Have had it for a little less than a month but this truck is great. Rides great, even with the lift & tires. Big difference between this & my Audi S4😅 but loving it so far.
Hey there Titan fellas.
I'm here to ask about a noise problem I've been having for a few weeks, making it louder and louder every time I drive (I use my Titan one or two times a week).
I went to several shops and the diagnosis was different in each one.
shock absorbers, springs, ball joints, control arms, bushings, sway bar links, etc. (Even leaf spring bushings...)
Any tips or somebody knows what's causing this noise?
PD: sorry for the dirty truck lol it's been raining a lot recently and I can't keep her clean.
It isn’t as consistent as it is in the video but still sounds concerning and I have no clue what this could be
My 2020 Nissan Titan Pro4x has a OEM Rear Underseat Storage Bin. I currently carry a blanket and some shop rags in the cubby. It looks to me like there is some functionality (the folding flap on the top of the lid) that I can't figure out. How are you guys using your storage bins?
So it’s been a month since I bought my P4X. So far I give it a 8/10. Gas mileage sucks balls, been averaging 16.4mpg. And I really don’t like how jumpy the trans is when leaving a light or in low gears. Other than that no complaints. Now for the interesting bit 😅
First let me preface and say this is my first truck and I’ve never really been off road! So don’t judge too harshly. Yesterday I was trying to get to a fishing spot and did not foresee how bad or how deep the mud was. Which I quickly found out was not mud but water and clay.. I was stuck for about 6 hours before I had to break down and call for a winch out. Luckily nothing broke except my front plate mount after being dragged out. What AT tires do you all recommend that are cost effective? And would fit the stock rims? I don’t want new wheels I actually like them. And what tools should I buy and keep on me if I get stuck again?
Looking to install motor side mirror and heated from a higher trim model on my 2021 S , does anyone know if the harness is already there plug and play ?
I would assume I would just need to buy the switch’s to be able to control them
Anything help :)!
