Shady Rack Company

My father bought a bed rack from Trumgeta. Their description was misleading and the rack didn't fit. Contacted Trumgeta and thy said it was our fault. After showing them the problem with their product description, they changed the information on their site but still want to charge us hundreds of dollars to make things right. For anyone with grey faded trim, this will restore it back to its original black color. Works wonders.

2021 Titan wont start sometimes.

My Dad's Titan needed the transmission replaced, and got it done under warenty.

When he got it back it started having trouble cranking. And would only crank when he shifted in and out of park or messed with the shifter some.

The dealer said it was the starter. He doesn't know why and didn't ask them questions when they told him that. 😅

He can't afford a mechanic right now so I'll be the one working on it.

The facts are simple, sometimes it cranks sometimes it doesn't,

Problem started after transmission replacement,

When it has trouble it Only cranks when the shifter has been "played with" according to my dad

The truck's an automatic with a push start.

The trouble has become worse and worse over the last two months. To the point he's asked me to come fix it.

When it's having trouble the Ignition Clicks one time everytime he tries to start it.

Thats everything I know, I was hoping anyone might have some insight. Any sort of help at all would be massively appreciated. Especially if someone has had a similar problem.

Squeaky belt has me puzzled

I have a chirping, especially when it rains. It’s worse in the mornings. I replaced the idler pulley and the tensioner pulley as well as the belt itself.
Still chirps. Sounds like it’s more on the passenger side of the engine. A tiny bit of dry silicone spray on top of belt quiets it for a while.

Collision repair?

So my baby girl got hit in my new to me Titan they didn’t have insurance and hit the wheel and blew the steering rack and had to replace the frame! still in shop after a month and a half I have Icon lift and looking at what they were replacing did not include suspension parts wheel bearing where it got hit?

am I crazy asking for them to replace the tire rods etc. i’m thinking about the geometry of the truck even if they put new parts on one side, the other side will be thrown off. my people who put the lift on it told me this and im picking it up on Monday.

I told them two weeks ago about my concern and nervous and pissed

thank you

Looking to purchase

Been looking for a truck and mostly at ford and chevys. Impossible to find a decent one so starting to look at titans. Is this worth it? 16k and 154k miles. How many miles do these last?

1st Gen Question

I’m looking at getting a 1st gen for a cheap work truck. I know the 1st gen’s suffer from exhaust manifold problems but I heard that during the 2008 refresh they fixed it. Is this true and are 2008 to 2015titans better and don’t have this issue?

Got my first truck, 2021 Nissan Titan!!!

Just picked up this 2021 Titan SV 4x4 with 66k miles and I’m loving it so far.

Paid $25.5k for it (clean title, no accidents). After taxes and dealer fees I was at $28.3k out the door. Compared to Tundras and Silverados of the same year, I felt like it was a great value. I also really wanted a naturally aspirated V8 without turbos, cylinder deactivation, or all the extra complexity.

Already put it to work towing a U-Haul auto transport with my Jeep Renegade on it for about 900 miles from NJ to GA, and it handled it great.

Besides the normal maintenance (oil changes, air filters, transmission fluid, transfer case, and differential fluids), what else should I take care of to help this truck make it to 250k+ miles?

It’ll also be towing a 3,000-4,000 lb Jayco/Coleman camper a few times a year.

Any quirks or common issues with the 2021/current generation that I should know about?
Thanks!

Just got my first truck, 2022 SV RWD

Started looking at Tundras and found Titans to be similar drivetrain and cabin wise. Looked for a while at medium mileage 2020-2022 rwd sv. Found this beauty at 24k. Love the sixth seat and how the back cabin has plenty of room for a newborn car seat 😳 getting running boards asap. Any suggestions?

Looking for advice on reliability

I'm looking at a 2010 Titan SE with 195000 miles as an island beater while my family and I are stationed in Hawaii. I don't have a ton of experience with the brand, but the price is right. I'm looking for any words of wisdom on purchasing a very aged Titan and whether I'll live with the thing in the shop.

Transmission Fluid Change

I have a 2021 Nissan Titan Pro 4x. I am getting ready to get the transmission fluid changed in it. It has 63K on it. So, the Dealership quoted me $400 to do the work. So I thought I would shop it around. The other two places quoted me $800 saying its due to the fluid type. Has this happened to anyone else? Am I being stupid by having it changed? Is that price difference normal between a dealership and an transmission service shop?

2014 Titan Pro-4x

Thinking of selling the truck directly versus to Carvana. I would sell at $19,500. 1 year old tires, newer tie rod, apple car play, hard bed cover (foldable), bed extender, remote start, 2 keys, nothing wrong with interior. The tpms sensor is on, and some times can’t shift into park from drive/reverse. Great truck but need more payload. Is headache selling direct over Carvana worth it (they’d give me $16k)?
