Guillow's 1939 Kit # D5 Redraw - Continued

Things had not gone as well as I hoped over the weekend and the wing frame was all I did, but Don B. finished his and brought it to the OFFC meeting this morning. Being Don, he attached the wings with magnets and double covered the flying surfaces so it came out a bit heavy at 15-1/2 grams but it flies. The one trimming difficulty was getting it to turn, not a good thing for a model intended for an indoor contest. It seems a bit nose heavy but he chose a 6 inch Peck prop rather than a 5 inch which is a gram and a half lighter so changing it may solve the trim problem.

Guillow's 1939 Kit #D5 Redraw

There was some discussion at an OFFC meeting, last month, about a one design contest later in the year. There were several opinions about what design to use.

Some years back I downloaded a plan for the 1939 D5 Cruiser from Outerzone and I thought that it might be a good choice. I redrew it to contemporary standards with a one piece wing and stabilizer, rear peg moved forward and one piece wire landing gear struts. Dave G. Suggested we build some prototypes first then I could laser cut some parts sheets and pass them out to the club members who want to compete. I cut four parts sheets for myself, Dave G., Don B. and Rob H. With 4 different people building prototypes we will see if they are easy to build and if they fly well.

Had the Micro Arugula and couldn't resist using it as a garnish!

My typical breakfast omelette, one egg plus one egg white, stuffed with roasted peppers, potato, mushroom and lite shredded cheese (Trader Joe's. Come to think of it, the ingredients for everything on that plate except for the balsamic vinegar came from Trader Joe's!) with a spinach, tomato and avocado salad.

Full Spectrum MLE-40 power supply

I've been using a Full Spectrum MLE-40 to make model airplane kits for 12 years. I replaced the original controller board about 2 years in, and the tube last year (with an aftermarket tube that actually will put out 40 watts). Tuesday morning it wouldn't connect to my PC. Since the inside light comes on, directly connected to the AC, but nothing else works I figured that the power supply went out. I looked to see if the cooling fan on the power supply was turning and found something that I had not noticed all the time I've been using the cutter, the power supply doesn't have a cooling fan!

Has anyone replaced a power supply in one this Jurassic and can you give me a recommendation of a make and model to use as a replacement?
