OG Baldur's Gate was released 28 yrs ago and somehow I missed it. I'm just about to click "submit payment" on steam and wanted to know beforehand what you guys think.

I'm interested to know if the gameplay feels too dated, or if it has a steep learning curve. Didn't like the tabletop Dungeons and Dragons too much. The only rpgs I've played were the gameboy pokemons and Oblivion which I sort of enjoyed minus the leveling up aspect.

I know BG's influence is vast in the genre and i'm pretty sure my roomate flunked out of college playing it 24/7. Just trying to hear unbiased, nostalgia-less takes on this highly praised game
