Richard in season five

Richard in season five

(Season 6. Sorry, I accidentally put 5 in the title.)

I will forever hold the opinion that Meredith was 100% wrong in this storyline. She knew that Richard was drinking, she knew that he was operating impaired, and she didn't want Derek to tell the board because she didn't want to lose access to the special teaching and access to the special surgeries (that she wasn't really ready for) that Richard was letting her in on.

And when Derek wanted to go to the board and report him, she had the nerve to call Post It - to invoke their marriage vows and imply that she would never trust him as her husband again if he reported Richard.

I know a lot of people say that Derek did it because he wanted Richard's job, but the board had already offered it to him. Instead of automatically accepting, he went and warned Richard about it.

It wasn't just the leg.

It makes me crazy how people try to dimish Arizona's trauma to just losing her leg.

She went through massive trauma. First the plane crash, then she was pinned under the wreckage for a week. She could feel bugs burrowing into her leg and eating the flesh. She heard the wolves fighting over Lexie's body just like Cristina did. She watched Mark, who she had grown close to as a co-parent, almost die repeatedly. Then when they were finally rescued, and finally got back to Seattle, she ended up losing her leg and Mark did die. And I don't understand how people can't see that the loss of a limb is a major obstacle to overcome. People act like she should just be grateful that she's alive and oh well about her leg. And yes Callie did act like she knew exactly what Arizona had gone through, when she in fact did not.

Yes, Arizona was wrong to cheat. But Callie was not blameless either. I especially hated the scene where she was whining about not having sex because Arizona felt uncomfortable in her body.

When people watch 20+ year old TV

And then complain that whatever show doesn't meet modern standards. No kidding - the world was a different place 20, 30, 40 years ago. Either enjoy it for what it is or don't watch.

The Positivity Game (round 2) - Mark Sloan

To combat all the hate posts that seem to dominate this sub, I started a game back in February to try to inject some positivity. It's time to bring it back! 😊

Every day I'll post a different character and people can talk about what they liked about that person. If you don't have anything positive to say, please just scroll past. Have fun!

Honest question

Does anyone on this sub post about things that they actually like about the show? Maybe it's just that I've already had a crappy day, but the negativity today seems to be off the charts. I think the last five or six posts I've read in the past hour are talking about how horrible this or that character is.

And yes, I scroll past, but it really makes the sub so much less fun. Which stinks because I honestly love the show and like to talk about it.

What one small change would have changed the show completely?

I would say having Derek call DC to have his things shipped back to Seattle rather than going there.

Who would you choose?

If you could choose any five surgeons (any specialty, any era of the show) to work together, who would you select?

I would choose Derek for neuro, Mark for plastics, Arizona for peds, Addison for OB, and Meredith for general.

Season three

One of my favorite episodes. Anyone who says Derek didn't love Meredith obviously never watched this because it was heartbreaking seeing him fall apart like this. Patrick did such a good job showing how helpless he felt (and I wanted to cheer when he went off on Ellis).

Baby Bailey

I know it's a little thing, but I love the fact that they both say *another* baby. They never saw Zola as their adopted daughter, just their daughter.

Derek and Meredith

This man really did have his face buried in her hair or neck as often as he could 😄

The "If/Then" episode

Where we learn that Derek gets cheated on by Addison and Mark in every universe 👀

Building my digital Grey's stash

My best friend got me this as a late birthday present! I already have season 3 that I found at a thrift shop. Nine more to go!

Why doesn't anyone ever talk about

the fact that Izzie basically called Meredith a whore too?

I know it's not the same as Derek because she obviously wasn't in a relationship with Izzie, but they were really good friends at this point in the show.

Boundaries (or not so much)

POV - When you're trying to set boundaries at work but your boss is hot and you jump him approximately 15 seconds later. 😂😂

It's my birthday!

And I adore McDreamy despite his flaws, so tell me what you like about him too

(And please, if you have nothing but bad things to say, please find another thread. I'd like at least one happy thread on my birthday 🎂)

Thank you!
