Misandry is a real term that describes a real thing.
Hiya folks. I'm a woman. Don't take this the wrong way.
If we label discrimination one direction, we must label it the other direction as well. This is to say that not only does misandry exist, but so does cisphobia, heterophobia, "thinphobia" (as dumb as that sounds), racism towards ethnic majorities, and every other similar-sounding term. This is not to say that any of these are issues are actively oppressive to any degree; rather, just that they exist.
Disclaimer: I have said this in other places, and my words always get misconstrued. Let me clarify: In America, being cisgender, heterosexual, thin/fitting the "healthy" appearance stereotype, and white gives you the benefits of a massive power imbalance designed to keep real humans down. None of these things I mentioned are problems any more than people assuming everything swastika-shaped is nazi-related or that someone who drives a Ford Ranger will yell a slur at them out the window. Unlike with all these antonymous terms, transphobia, heterophobia, fatphobia, racism towards ethnic minorities, misogyny, and ableism are all issues that affect people who exist. Won't go into detail, but people in my family have been harmed by all of these factors. Do not twist my words and say I'm some white rights activist or anything like that.
That being said, it's necessary to acknowledge the existence of anti-majority sentiment. If we don't, many will harbour difficult feelings about classes that have oppressed them and, in all likelihood, not work through many of them. I'd know from experience.
Where I'd live as the powerhouse of the cell
