How to remove the quick reader?

I got the x5 quick reader from Amazon for $30 and now its stuck and will not release even with force

It looks like it has a latch but I can not get it to budge at all

I cant find any info on this google the serial on the barcode or looking up the name itself. I can't open the box as i have not bought it yet. Does anyone know anything about this brand or what it could possible be? just arrows? bow with arrows?
