Was in a meeting earlier with a couple of senior vp’s when the topic of hiring came up. Apparently Lockheed has been losing people left and right (aero specific, unsure about other BA’s). But apparently in like 6 months, they hired around 1k engineers and in that time around 950 people from Lockheed left, so net was 50 employees Gained.

And the way that I think abt it, i’m just not surprised since many people can make so much more elsewhere. I am however surprised that the job security doesn’t retain people.

Whichever little exec f*ck decided that we’re doing huddles in our teams deserves to be fired.

Wasting my damn time by making my team have to do ts.

TLDR, ranting about unruly and disruptive Airlines needs to start enforcing more rules on how passengers act.

I’m currently in a red-eye and I was awoken by en entire row ooo ke being loud and taking a shot. They were also filming with flash on. They were so loud and it’s extremely distributive especially on a flight that people try to sleep on.

The other thing is, why are there so many people who are playing music and reels and videos all out loud. Have you ever heard of headphones?!.

I think it’s United that started kicking people off/instating repercussions for those who are disruptive to the rest of the passengers and honestly American Airlines needs to do the same.

The crazy part is this is the first time in the many many flights I’ve taken with America that this has happened. If it was a flight in the afternoon or something, I’d totally be fine with the drinking atleast (not the noise). But at 1am i’m extremely pissed.

Traveling to PR for a trip with friend group. I arrive at SJU at 4:00 am, others start arriving at 3pm giving me about 11ish hours to do whatever solo.

Was thinking of renting a car for the day and driving around the island or to the rainforest? I also wanted to eat some good food for breakfast or lunch. Any recommendations?

I have very limited knowledge on PR geography and travel times between places so if anyone has any good info pls lmk

Hey saw this fb listing that I'm interested in for ~$700. I'm looking for a new bike for Triathlon training after An accident on my previous bike (OCLV Carbon Trek Emonda).

It looks to be in good shape, but if some parts in the back (i.e. derailed or chain or gears) or anything seem to be not as good, I was just going to swap them out for the ones on my Emonda (All in good shape/newly replaced on old bike).

Here's some details on it:

Frame: Cervélo Dual, Aluminum

Tires: Ritchey Pro tires

Aero Bars: Profile Design aero bars (These are p long enough so I'm happy with it)

Pedals: Shimano pedals (Might swap these out for my own Chimano pedals with clips.

Thoughts o nit its worth it?
